Flyers go back to regular lines, eye Tampa

The Flyers, preparing for Tuesday's showdown against host Tampa Bay, went back to their more traditional lines during Monday's practice in Voorhees.

After a one-game experiment, the lines were back to normal:

* Mike Richards centering Andreas Nodl and Dan Carcillo.

* Claude Giroux centering Jeff Carter and JVR.

* Danny Briere centering Ville Leino and Scott Hartnell.

* Blair Betts centering Darroll Powe and Nik Zherdev/Jody Shelley.

Look for Zherdev to return to the lineup against Tampa, which is 3-0 against the Flyers this season.

James van Riemsdyk called Tuesday's game a "measuring stick," and D Matt Carle noted that the Flyers need a win to make a statement in case the teams meet in the playoffs.

The Flyers are seeded No. 1 in the East, and Tampa is No. 2. Tampa is four points behind the Flyers, who have a game in hand.

In the three games against the Flyers this season, Steven Stamkos has five goals and linemate Martin St. Louis has NINE assists.

Based on the fact that Sergei Bobrovsky had to be pulled after the first period in two of the losses to Tampa, logic says Brian Boucher will start Tuesday. Then again, Bobrovsky is coming off one of his best performances of the season, a 1-0 loss to Los Angeles on Sunday.
