Flyers fail to land North Dakota star

Drake Caggiula turned down many offers, including one from the Flyers, and signed with Edmonton on Friday night, according to numerous reports.

Caggiula led North Dakota to the NCAA championship, and since he played three collegiate seasons under Dave Hakstol, the Flyers seemed like one of the favorites to sign the left winger/center.

Instead, he opted for Edmonton, where he may play alongside Connor McDavid.

The best undrafted college free agent this year, the 5-foot-10, 180-pound senior isn't big, but he brings tenacity and dynamic offensive skills - witness his 25 goals and 51 points in 39 games this season.
