Flyers extend Couturier two years
The Flyers have agreed to terms with forward Sean Couturier, according to the team.
After having the 20-year-old's name come up in most trade conversations outside of the organization, the Flyers decided Couturier was worth inking to a two-year deal.
Despite the perception that Couturier is coming off a "down" season (four goals, 11 assists), the majority of his stats did not stray too far from the rookie 2011-12 season that got him noticed (13 goals, 14 assists). Couturier has also been cited as a poor skater in the past, but more recently has been hailed as one of the top defensive forwards in the NHL.
