Flyers coaster.

I thought the Phillies were a bit daft for selling pieces of carpet from their locker room

Then I heard that the promotion was a hit.

The Flyers are selling limited-edition, freezable drink coasters featuring melted ice from the Spectrum, which was shipped to a packaging house in Chicago in 55-gallon drums at the end of the 2008-09 season.

(A little bit of the rink with your drink?)

They're being sold at the Fan Gear store at the Wachovia Center ($13.50), and online ($15).

Cool gift for Flyers fans? I was hoping they had canceled the rest of the season.

A cool gift would be a reduction in ticket prices like the Ottawa Senators have done.
