Flyers sign Andrew MacDonald to six-year, $30 million deal

The Flyers signed defenseman Andrew MacDonald to a six-year, $30 million contract extension on Tuesday.

MacDonald, 27, led the NHL with 242 blocked shots this season.

If Kimmo Timonen retires, MacDonald is expected to play on the top line next season.
