NHL free agency 2013: Three teams interested in Jaromir Jagr
Jaromir Jagr plans on playing again next season, but the 41-year old is not sure where he will play. His agent, Petr Svoboda, claims that three teams have shown interest in him, but he plans on taking a bit of time before deciding where to play his 20th season.
"He definitely still wants to play, and there is some interest in him," Petr Svoboda said, according to NHL.com. "I think it’s going to take some time, but you never know for sure because there are three teams that are very interested."
Svoboda did not say which three teams were chasing Jagr, but the Boston Bruins seem unlikely to be one of them. The Bruins were interested in re-signing Jagr earlier this offseason, but they have since acquired Jerome Iginla and Loui Eriksson.
Jagr scored 16 goals and had 19 assists for the Dallas Stars and Bruins last season. He showed his age some in the playoffs when he tired late in games at the tail end of the postseason, but he was a productive player all regular season and there is likely to be a relatively strong market for the future Hall of Famer.
