Blackhawks expect to keep No. 1 pick, but unsure which player they'll select

The Chicago Blackhawks are leaning toward keeping the No. 1 pick in tomorrow's NHL draft, general manager Dave Tallon said. He also told reporters that they have narrowed their list to three. Of course, the question is which one of the three - believed to be right winger Patrick Kane, left winger James vanRiemsdyk and center Kyle Turris - will they select.

"It's just down to the order," Tallon told the Chicago Tribune. "We'll have them meet with a sports psychologist and decide for sure [tonight]."

Tallon said he has had "a few casual inquiries" from teams interested in acquiring the top pick.

"It's going to take something special - a player who can really make a difference," Tallon said. "It'd be nice to have that pick."

Several mock drafts have the Blackhawks selecting Kane with the top pick and the Flyers then choosing Turris with the second pick.

VanRiemsdyk, a Middletown, N.J., native also wouldn't mind wearing a Flyers sweater.

"It would be awesome to play for the Flyers," vanRiemsdyk told NHL.com. "A lot of my friends are going to college in the Philadelphia area." *
