Giroux OK, NHL isn't

Flyers star Claude Giroux suffered a neck injury while playing in Germany, but multiple reports said it is minor and that the center is fine.

Flyers star Claude Giroux suffered a neck injury while playing in Germany, but multiple reports said it is minor and that the center is fine.

The same can't be said for the NHL.

The league-imposed lockout is in its 63rd day, and no end is in sight.

Oh, the league and the NHLPA will meet on Monday, but NHL officials say the sides are far apart in many areas.

In other words, look for more games to be canceled soon, perhaps later this week.

As for Giroux, he was checked in the head Friday and taken to a hospital, but he was released and could practice on Tuesday.
