One thing I'm watching today: Chance Warmack

After the national anthem, I’m most interested in watching how Chance Warmack does at left guard for the Eagles. I could have said Chris Maragos at safety, but I have seen Maragos play safety before, and I’m supposed to come up with one thing, not two things.

Warmack is a road-grader, which is interesting for a team that has done almost no running the first two weeks. In pass protection, I doubt he will be an improvement on Isaac Seumalo. Warmack did nothing in the preseason to indicate he would be.

Also, the other o-lineman clearly were surprised to see Seumalo sit down with the team 1-1. It kind of came off as panic, which is not something a coaching staff wants to convey to its players.

Warmack has started 48 games, all for Tennessee, which drafted him 10th overall in 2013 and found him to be a disappointment.
