The Eagles agreed to terms with rookie kicker Jake Elliott, signing the Cincinnati Bengals’ fifth-round pick off their practice squad. Caleb Sturgis went on injured reserve with a hip flexor injury. The Eagles will not be able to activate Sturgis for eight weeks.

Elliott, 22, was 3 of 6 on field goals in the preseason and hit his only extra point attempt, with all five of his kickoffs going for touchbacks.

At Memphis, Elliott became the school’s all-time leading scorer. He went 21 of 26 as a senior, and was an all-American in 2015 when he went 23 of 28. He did not miss an extra point in his college career, connecting on 202 consecutive attempts.
