One of the topics raised during Eagles chairman Jeffrey Lurie's news conference Thursday was his sessions with Eagles coach Doug Pederson, which Lurie said aren't about game-planning. But then Lurie gave examples of things they might discuss, which sounded a bit like game-planning.

Pederson spoke with reporters Friday and said he has no issue with discussing weekly matchups and so forth with the owner.

"It think it's great. We did it all last season; we'll continue it this year," said Pederson, who added that this is something Lurie also did with Pederson's mentor, Andy Reid.

"Our owner's so passionate about this team and this organization that part of my job is just keeping him informed on what we're doing," Pederson said. "He may not be around every day of the week, but this is our chance to kind of recap the game Sunday, then going forward, the scouting report on the upcoming opponent."

Pederson said they typically sit down once a week.

"They can be 15 minutes. They can be two hours," said Pederson, who said Lurie doesn't give advice — he "just wants to be in the loop."

"That's one of the great things about him. He doesn't get into the X's and O's part of it. … He doesn't recommend plays, or anything like that," Pederson said.
