Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz said Wednesday that he is excited to have new running back Jay Ajayi as a weapon, and he doesn't see any potential problems. Reports from Miami said the Dolphins were willing to trade Ajayi, 24, coming off a Pro Bowl season, at Tuesday's trade deadline because Miami coach Adam Gase didn't like his attitude.

"I got a chance to speak with Jay … He seems like he'll be a great fit," Wentz said as the Birds began preparing to host the Denver Broncos this Sunday. "Great fit for this team, great fit for this locker room. I don't foresee any issues with that.

"We're excited; anytime you can add talent like that, a player of his caliber – we'll see how quickly he picks up on the offense and everything that goes with that, so who knows exactly how that'll all play out, but I'm excited that we picked up a guy as talented as he is."

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said earlier Wednesday that he would ease Ajayi in, that whether he plays this week will depend on how much of the offense Ajayi can pick up quickly. The Eagles' bye is next week.

"You never kinda want to mess with that mojo, so to speak, but I think this move is something that I don't think anyone is really concerned about," Wentz said. "We have such good leadership, such good veterans, that if there is any of that, that'll get squished real quick, so I'm pretty sure we'll be OK."
