Among the issues for the Eagles when you look at their recent draft history is that they seem to be getting more production from the players they select at the bottom of the draft than at the top.

Part of that is because they have acknowledged they reached on some picks based on need rather than selecting the best player available, something they have said they will aim to correct.

When asked at the Senior Bowl about the trend – especially in the two drafts since Roseman took over for Tom Heckert, Roseman said, "That's something you have to look at."First, we've kind of overhauled our scouting staff in the last couple of years, and we've changed how we grade players and how we look at players. That's a work in progress. We feel that we're making a lot of strides. We're never going to be perfect in that regard. "

He acknowledged they might have drafted some players too high recently (such as safety Jaiquawn Jarrett, whom many observers were surprised to see go in the second round last year). Roseman said there are "times that you're pushing things up because there are [attributes] that you want" or positions where you have a need. "Those are the things that you've got to learn from and figure out," he said.

With that backdrop, we wanted to take a step back and see how the Eagles have been built, whether with players they selected or players selected by other teams, along with undrafted free agents.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter in what round you are selected, but whether you can play on Sundays, but it is interesting to look at this list.

There are 67 players on the Eagles offseason roster at this point. Of those, 46 were drafted by the Eagles or another team and 21 went undrafted. (Among that undrafted group, by the way, are Cullen Jenkins and Jason Peters.)

Of the 46 who were drafted, the Eagles have 17 players selected in the first three rounds, 19 players selected in the final three rounds and 10 players in the fourth round.

Here are the rounds they were selected:

First: 8

Second: 6

Third: 3

Fourth: 10

Fifth: 7

Sixth: 4

Seventh: 8
