The Eagles practiced Wednesday with tight end Zach Ertz ready to play Sunday against the New York Giants. Ertz cleared the concussion protocol after missing Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Rams, so he's eligible for the game.

Offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski did not have much involvement in the portion of practice open to reporters, while he recovers from an ankle injury, but coach Doug Pederson sounded optimistic about his recovery. Wisniewski had an apparent limp at practice.

"Wiz is looking good," Pederson said. "We'll monitor his activity at today, obviously. … Still day-to-day, but he should be fine for the game."

Cornerback Sidney Jones practiced for the first time with the Eagles. The rookie has 21 days to practice before the Eagles must decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster or put him on injured reserve.

"I'll see him on service team, some special teams, and sort of like we did with [Ronald] Darby, ease him back into football shape, let's say, and see where he's at," Pederson said. "We've watched him through his progression and his training the last few weeks. And now just want to see him in football conditions, the true transition of stopping and starting and making a play on a ball and seeing his instincts, things we haven't been able to monitor this season."
