Up-Down drill: Best and worst from the Eagles' loss to the Seahawks

Carson Wentz

DOWN – The Eagles quarterback had his worst game of the season. He missed a wide-open Nelson Agholor early. He connected with him later, but grossly underthrew his receiver. And he tossed a game-ending interception. But Wentz's fumble at the 1-yard line was brutal.

Doug Pederson

DOWN – Pederson was timid when he should have been aggressive. He was assertive when he should have been conservation. There wasn't one decision or non-decision that was egregious, but not challenging the Russell Wilson illegal forward pass might have been the costliest.

Russell Wilson

UP – The Seattle quarterback was spectacular. The Eagles defensive line had to feel like it was chasing a chicken the entire night. Wilson made big play after big play and burned the Eagles with his legs and his arm.

Eagles defensive backs

DOWN – Ronald Darby would be better off forgetting his trip to Seattle. Wilson picked on him unmercifully. But he wasn't the only defensive back to struggle. Malcolm Jenkins gave up a touchdown to Jimmy Graham. Rodney McLeod got beat over the top. And Patrick Robinson was torched by Doug Baldwin a few times.

Eagles linebackers

SIDEWAYS – Mychal Kendricks led the Eagles in tackles with nine and Nigel Bradham had six of his own, but they had trouble covering the Seahawks running backs out of the backfield. Bradham took a bad holding penalty.

Halapoulivaati Vaitai

DOWN – Vaitait was bound to have a down day. The left tackle had some nice moments in the run game – a pull block on a Corey Clement third down carry was especially effective. But Frank Clark got around Vaitai too many times.

Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz

DOWN – The Eagles' top receivers didn't have a single catch in the first half. Wentz only targeted them once. Jeffery and Ertz were better in the second half, but they didn't do enough and then the latter left with a concussion.

Nelson Agholor

UP – He was electric. Agohlor was open all night and caught a career-high seven catches for 141 yards and a touchdown – and he could have done so much more damage had Wentz been more accurate.

Najee Goode and Mack Hollins

DOWN – Their penalties on two first half kickoff returns backed the Eagles up in their own territory.

Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett

UP – The Eagles defensive ends relentlessly chased Wilson. Could they have caught him a few more times? Perhaps, but the Seattle quarterback does that to defenses on a weekly basis. Graham did finish with 1-1/2 sacks and Barnett did wallop Wilson.

The West coast

SIDEWAYS – The Eagles traveled to Southern California late Sunday night and will spend the week practicing in Orange County before facing the Rams. Will they leave the west coast without a win? They can't finish any better than .500 now.
