Chris Long argues with Rams fans, Skip Bayless acts like a human being

For Eagles fans, the sight of Carson Wentz limping off the team's plane early Monday morning wasn't very reassuring.

Eagles defensive end Chris Long got into a heated exchange with some Rams fans following the last-second defensive touchdown that sealed the win for the Birds on Sunday.

On the Rams' final offensive play, an errant lateral from wide receiver Tavon Austin ended up in the hands of Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham, who ran it in for a touchdown as time expired.

After the play, Graham and other Eagles defenders jumped into the stands to celebrate with a crowd dominated by Birds fans. Unfortunately, Long's jump into the stands was rejected by three Rams fans, who immediately pushed him back onto the field.

Following the incident, cameras from both NBC4 in Los Angeles and Philadelphia's NBC10 caught Long in a heated exchange with the fans:

Skip Bayless acts like a human being

Known for his trolling tweets and unhinged rants about the Eagles and Carson Wentz, FS1 host Skip Bayless struck a surprisingly conciliatory tone after the second-year quarterback suffered a season-ending injury to his left knee.

"Very sorry to hear about Carson Wentz's knee injury," Bayless wrote on Twitter during Sunday's game. "I root against him because I'm a Cowboys fan. But I did not want to see him get hurt. I wanted the Eagles to be at full strength.

Unfortunately, former Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Richie Whitt couldn't even manage the basic level of decorum that Bayless was able to muster. Instead, he reveled in Wentz's injury by referencing an event that took place in Philadelphia 50 years ago.

"Hey Philly, remember that time you booed Santa Claus? On the same weekend Joel Embiid and Carson Wentz go down with knee injuries," Whitt wrote.

Following Whitt's 18-year career at the Star-Telegram, he spent five years as an afternoon host on Dallas sports radio before being fired by from 103.5 FM The Fan (94.1 WIP's sister station), reportedly over poor ratings.

Shady has confidence in Nick Foles

Fans may be apprehensive about Nick Foles leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl this season, but one former Eagles star isn't worried at all.

Following the Bills' 13-7 victory over the Colts in blizzard-like conditions in Buffalo, running back LeSean McCoy took to Twitter to congratulate "Doug and my other brothers" for the division-clinching win over the Rams.

He also delivered a vote of confidence in Foles, calling the quarterback "a true baller."

This isn't the first time McCoy has vouched for Foles. In 2015, while still with the Eagles, McCoy told the NFL Network's Dan Hellie that he had no question Foles could lead the team to the playoffs.

"I like Nick. The person and player that everybody thought he was, he is," McCoy said. "There were a lot of injuries this year, Nick, obviously got injured. He gets all of the blame and he shouldn't. I think Nick's a good quarterback. He's the leader of our team. Just things didn't work out for him this year due to injury, but we've got his back. As a team, we didn't play well enough to win and to get into the playoffs."

Wentz limps off Eagles’ plane

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson made it official during a noon press conference on Monday: Wentz has a torn ACL, meaning his season is now over.

Wentz, who was removed from the game after injuring his left knee, had an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the damage.

CBS3 cameras caught the injured Wentz gingerly making his way off the team's plane.

Despite the injury, Wentz tried his best to stay positive, telling fans on Twitter that he is "proud of the resiliency of this team."
