54 -- Peters, Floyd | Defensive Tackle | With Eagles: 1964-69,

Discarded by three teams before becoming an Eagle for six seasons, Peters reached the Pro Bowl in 1965, 1967 and 1968 - a very good player on not-so-good teams.

55 -- Robinson, Jerry | Linebacker | With Eagles: 1979-84

Recruited by Dick Vermeil at UCLA, the three-time all-American was the Eagles' first-round pick in 1979, won NFL defensive-rookie-of-the- year honors, and led the Birds in tackles three times.

56 -- Ferrante, Jack | Two-Way End | With Eagles: 1941, 1944-50

Having played neither high school nor college football, Ferrante emerged from the Philadelphia sandlots to become a dangerous two-way end, with 31 TDs among his 169 career receptions. He was an NFL all-decade selection for the 1940s.

57 -- Willey, Norm | Defensive End | With Eagles: 1950-57

"Wild Man" Willey was the team's top pass-rusher before Reggie White. He and Pete Pihos combined for at least 14 sacks - some sources say 17 - in an October 1952 game against the Giants.

58 -- Humphrey, Claude | Defensive End | With Eagles: 1979-81

Humphrey arrived at the end of a stellar career and immediately became Dick Vermeil's best pass-rusher. He has been a Hall of Fame finalist three times.

59 -- Waters, Andre | Safety | With Eagles: 1984-93

A ferocious hitter alongside Wes Hopkins on the Buddy Ryan-Rich Kotite defenses, Waters finished his Eagles career with 15 interceptions, including six in 1986.

60 -- Hawkins, Ben | Receiver | With Eagles: 1966-73

In his second season, Hawkins led the NFL with 1,265 receiving yards; he had 59 catches and 10 touchdowns. His four-TD performance against Pittsburgh in 1969 remains tied for an Eagles record.

61 -- Staley, Duce | Running Back | With Eagles: 1997-2003

The Eagles' third all-time rusher, the versatile Staley played 98 games, rushed 1,200 times for 4,807 yards with 22 touchdowns, and had three seasons with at least 50 catches.

62 -- Taylor, Bobby | Cornerback | With Eagles: 1995-2003

A cover corner who used his 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame to match up against tall receivers, Taylor had 19 career interceptions (two for touchdowns) and reached one Pro Bowl in nine seasons here.

63 -- Snyder, Lum | Tackle | With Eagles: 1952-55, 1958

A third-round pick out of Georgia Tech, Snyder was a two-time Pro Bowl selection. In 1965, he was picked as a tackle on an all-time Eagles team, alongside Al Wistert.

64 -- Lindskog, Vic | Center, Linebacker | With Eagles: 1944-51

Lindskog started at center ahead of Hall of Famers Chuck Bednarik and Alex Wojciechowicz during the 1949 championship season. The 1952 NFL encyclopedia ranked him as one of the top five centers ever.

65 -- Logan, Randy | Safety | With Eagles: 1973-83

In his 11-year Eagles career, Logan never missed a game. He finished with 23 interceptions in 159 games and went to two Pro Bowls.

66 -- Hanson, Swede | Back, Linebacker | With Eagles: 1933-37

This Temple product was fifth in the NFL in rushing in 1933 and second in 1934. On Oct. 29, 1933, he scored the first TD in franchise history.

Bill Smithson isn't smiling anymore.

The urbane sales manager, who seemed to be almost enjoying himself during the early days of his trial, was dabbing sweat from his blanched face yesterday after he was found guilty of first degree murder.
