The Eagles placed safety Antoine Harris on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury. The move means he is sidelined for the season.

Harris was injured in Friday's preseason opener against Jacksonville. He had previously been with the Tennessee Titans for two seasons and the Atlanta Falcons for three years, but has been hampered by injuries during his career.

After practice the Eagles worked out safeties Jamaal Fudge, also a former Falcon, and Terrell Skinner.

Fudge, 27, appeareed in two Atlanta games last season and 11 in 2008. He also spent two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, playing in 14 games in 2007 and six in 2006.

A number of conflicting reports have come out over the weekend regarding former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook's future.

A report initially from ESPN's John Clayton on Saturday indicated that Westbrook had decided to sign with the Rams, who worked Westbrook out during the NFL draft weekend in April and gave him a physical. it has been clear for months that the Rams were willing to sign Westbrook -- the issue has been whether he felt his chronic bad knee could take the pounding of playing and practicing on turf, and whether he wants to play for what shows every sign of being a dismal team.

Then, Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network reported that Westbrook has not made a decision and has not told any teams where he is heading, according to LaCaanfora's sources.

Rams general manager Billy Devaney told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the team remains interested in signing Westbrook and has been in steady contact with him over the offseason and preseason, but that no deal was imminent.

All this comes on the backdrop of a Chris Mortensen report that Westbrook would make a decision Monday.

More to come ...
