UPDATED: Westbrook tweeted that he is leaving Miami without a contract.

"Workout went really well, looked like the 2005 Bwest!! But they need some other players right now so I'm headed back to the farm!!"

EARLIER: Former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was among at least four running backs who worked out for the Miami Dolphins today, according to reports.

"Hello Miami!!! Killed workout!!!!" Westbrook wrote on Twitter.

Westbrook, 32, spent last season with San Francisco, rushing for 340 yards and four touchdowns in five starts. He also had 16 receptions for 150 yards and a TD.

For his career, he has run for 6,355 yards and 41 touchdowns. He also has 442 receptions for 3,940 yards and three touchdowns.

The Dolphins also worked out former Patriots running back Thomas Clayton and former Cowboy Julius Jones.

Westbrook has been spending time on his horse farm in Maryland and looking to get into an analyst role locally, including some work on WIP.

It is unclear how serious the Dolphins are in siginng a running back or whether they are just looking at the available free agents. The Dolphins cut Larry Johnson during the final roster cutdown and then brought him back when Daniel Thomas suffered a hamstring injury. The Dolphins' feature back is Reggie Bush, along with Lex Hilliard.
