All I can say is I hope so. I just downloaded the Pitt game. If we lose to Detroit, Vick will need to be benched. Watching those fumbles (again) made me cringe. That was a win; we could have had. The defense dominated the First Quarter. We should have had a big lead going into the 2nd.

Here I sit in Afghanistan having only these Sunday games to look forward to, even though it is usually 3 or 4 a.m the next day for me. Give me SOMETHING to be proud of, sports-wise, from out city! The summer was BRUTALLY painful for obvious reason! *cough, cough...baseball...cough, cough*

JamesJ, the truth from allworld2 hurts, huh? Deny it all you want my friend, but it's exactly how it is. Vick gets blamed for everything that is ever wrong with this team. Forget the fact that he hs to start ducking and dodging two seconds after he receives the snap, because no one in front of him (black or white) has been capable of blocking. If he stood back there and just chucks it out of bounds, then the criticism is that he has no heart. You call it what you may, but the REAL reason for much of the venom (not everyone) against Vick is that many would much rather NOT see a black man leading this team. Case and point, McNabb was the greatest QB in this franchise history (bar none), and he was blamed for the deficit of the city and was villified. Why, because he din't win a superbowl? Well I go back to the Ron Jaworski days, and I still don't see venom in his direction, and he had not done HALF of what McNabb accomplished. If you think the racial BS (as you call it) doesn't exist on here, then you need to wake up. You know why many folks dont like Vick.

i liked vick liked being in past tense becuase now fumbles and ints and leading the nfl due to his mistakes such as when he slid head first and lost the ball luckily it was called back since the feet were tangled but if not how is that not his fault. how is it not his fualt he let the ball flop into the endzone oh because andy called his number instead of mccoy thats right... im such a racist and im not even white i just hate vick cuz he is black... riighhhttttt.... we will lose to detroit vick will put us in a position to do so but the fault will be the D's juans the o lines the coach but not vick nope vick can never do any wrong...

I expect Vick to light up the Lions weak D. The Eagles will win this one by a few scores. And unless Vick gets injured for the season sometime soon, this team is going no where with their turnover prone starting QB. Worst thing that happened to this franchise was when Kolb went down, Vick played great for a few weeks, forcing the front office to commit to Vick long term. Vick is a loser, always will be a loser, and this has nothing to do with dogs...

The reason that Mcnabb is villified is not based on his color, but his actions both on and off the field. He was a great player and one of the best quarterbacks in Eagles' history that is not being debated here; but, to the degree that he would have his meltdowns on the field and then his projection of superiority to the media was awful. Honestly, I would take Vick 9 out of 10 times over McNabb beecause he offers a sense of humbling. He has faults as we all do, but he is still learning. I have more faith in Vick's abilities and leadership than I did with McNabb. Compare qualities of a player on the field first before ever basing anything on the color. And, those who often see smoke are looking for a fire. Keep racism off this board.

id take 2004 mcnabb over any year vick any day. dude took us to a superbowl and how many nfc championship games um yeah easy choice for me. not too mention i think the year we made it to the superbowl mcnabb and the eagles beat vick and the falcons in the nfc championship game. that JJ blitz he couldnt handle that.
