Jackson should be paid whatever the market will bring for him. If the Eagles are unwilling to pay him top dollar, then he will leave when his contract is over. In other words, PAY THE MAN AND PAY HIM WELL!!!

Some of you morons crack me up, acting like you know what he/his agent is asking for. Stfu! And mentioning Santonio Holmes like DeSean is inferior to him is completely asinine. Let me know when Santonio makes the Pro-Bowl at 2 positions.

I haven't heard any figures bandied about regarding what Jackson is asking for or what the Eagles are offering. I think its safe to say that Rosenhaus and the Eagles don't agree on Jackson's worth, but at this point we really don't know which, if either, side is being unreasonable and to what degree. But it does behoove Jackson and his agent to get a deal done ASAP. One big hit and Jackson's season, if not his career, could be over and with that his big payday. In fact, it may not even take a big hit. Lots of players suffer serious injury without even being touched by an opposing player. You see it all the time....someone getting his cleats stuck in the turf and tearing his ACL. The Eagles are walking a thin line here...on one hand wanting to get Jackson signed under market value, and on the other hand, knowing that they won't have to extend his contract at all if he gets seriously injured. I really don't think you can compare Jackson to Peyton Hillis though.. For one thing they play different positions, and for another thing, the Browns aren't going to win anything this year, while the Eagles certainly won't win a Super Bowl without Jackson being productive. So if they're really "all in" this year....get it done!

lets review this.d-jax,has shown us he is capable of playing his position.he has shown his ability to make plays.this guy deserves to get whatever he can.and the eagles will be set.just give him his due...i hope that this gets doneso this situation can be put to sleep. GET IT DONE FRONT OFFICE!

Jackson is just a Greed money asking dumb football player who thinks he is better than everyone else in the league. Try again! why players like Fitzgerald has the skills to make the money and play at a top level.

Give the a Contract Extension with a big fat raise. You see this done all the time and he earned it. DeShaun is arguably one of the most dangerous WR in the NFL today. He comes to play each week (none of this alligator arm stuff). Do you really want him to go free agent after the year is over? I don't think so.
