Updated: Michael Vick was on the field, mingling with the other quarterbacks as they warmed up for practice during the brief period reporters were allowed to observe today. The Eaglespracticed in their indoor facility. Vick did not grab a football. He was wearing a black stocking cap and his red Eagles QB practice jersey.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said he will see how it goes with Vick, who remains sore. He said Vick will keep working to be ready for Sunday night's game against the Giants, but the next few days will tell.

He was noncommital about whether Vince Young or Mike Kafka would start if Vick can't. He said both would take reps with the first team. Only Young was active behind Vick against the Cardinals, and apparently, Young got more reps than Kafka in this morning's walkthrough.

Reid said Young "has done everything he has been asked to do." The few plays that Young has had this season have been less than encouraging.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported this morning that the "early signs" are that Vick is unlikely to play.

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (shoulder and hamstring), defensive back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) and offensive lineman King Dunlap (concussion) also will not practice.

Left guard Evan Mathis and safety Nate Allen will return to practice. Reid said Allen and Kurt Coleman will be the starting safeties.

If Mathis is unable to go after testing his turf toe injury in practice, the Eagles would go to Jamaal Jackson, with Dunlap injured.

In other news, as you would expect, Reid said he is not focused on speculation about his job status and is only focused on the Giants.

Reid also said he was not going to get into responding to comments made by DeSean Jackson in an interview with Michael Irvin. See the comments here.

Reid said not giving the ball to LeSean McCoy late in the game was "just a choice we made."

On the Giants' prepractice injury report, Aaron Ross will practice today, but LB Michael Boley and RB Ahmad Bradshaw will not.

According to the Giants, Ross suffered a left quad contusion at San Francisco and did not play in the second half. He has received treatment the last two days and will test his leg in practice.

Neither Boley nor Bradshaw have progressed enough, the Giants said. Boley injured his hamstring late in the first half last Sunday against the 49ers and did not return. Coach Tom Coughlin said at his news conference this morning that Boley is “day-to-day.” Bradshaw has missed the last two games with a broken bone in his foot.
