Michael Vick suffered a concussion in the second quarter of the Eagles-Cowboys game and will not return.
Backup Nick Foles filled in for Vick. The rookie took the field to a loud ovation from the Lincoln Financial Field crowd with the Eagles and Dallas tied, 7-7. The Eagles went three and out on his first series.
Vick went into the locker room with an eye injury. It was unclear on which play Vick was injured but he was hit by Cowboys linebacker Ernie Sims on his last play. He was also being evaluated for a cocussion. Vick suffered a concussion last year against the Falcons, but played the following week.
Vick had not missed a snap all season up until his injury.

Why would the FAT MAN call designed running plays for his injury prone quarterback? Mayb so he gets hurt???? - Never want to see anyone get concussed, even the dog killer. But it was great to get a look at Foles. He had some ugly moments, but if you're not grading a rookie third round pick who hasn't played in nearly 3 months and has gotten minimal practice time on a different curve than a 10 year vet with $100 million contract, all of the practice time, then you've got other issues. Overall, he's averaging more points per 60 minutes than the 10-year vet.
Now that the season's basically over, will Reid stick with Foles even if Vick gets clearance? Nah, that would make too much sense.— atb124 - nah nah nah nah anh nah, say good bye to the fat guy. - Foles is clearly ahead if Vick in reading defenses already. Dunlap should be cut and replaced by a punter, he is absolutely awful. Good loss though as it takes away Andy mystic of being dominant in the division. Bye bye Andy too bad Jeffery was too wimpy to do it last year, now we will have three or four years at the bottom thanks to Andy's bad drafts
