Trustee in Vick case seeks $2 million

The Associated Press out of Richmond, Va. is reporting : The trustee in Michael Vick’s bankruptcy case is seeking repayment of at least $2 million that the Eagles quarterback doled out to friends and family members in the months before he was sent to federal prison.
A complaint filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newport News says Vick knew his lucrative NFL career was in jeopardy and that he would be facing huge legal bills.
Yet the complaint claims he continued to give money and gifts to his mother, siblings, fiancee and friends that should have gone to Vick’s creditors.
Vick’s bankruptcy attorney, Paul Campsen, did not immediately return a phone message yesterday.
Vick served 20 months for a federal dogfighting conspiracy conviction. A judge approved his bankruptcy plan last summer.

- Oh haters....looks like a couple of paragraphs were left out from the AP wire story: “We are not suing Mike Vick or accusing Mike Vick of fraud,” said Luzinski's attorney, Ross Reeves. “This is about the proper distribution of assets Vick had before his bankruptcy.” Vick's bankruptcy attorney, Paul Campsen, called the filing “a garden-variety attempt to collect money.” He said Vick fully disclosed the transfers, did nothing wrong and will continue to cooperate with the bankruptcy court. - Boy, I can't wait for the next press conference it should be a real humdinger. Does anybody else wonder why the Eagles haven't publicly addressed this situation? I thought the cops said he wasn't involved in any crime that night. What would be the harm then in publically throwing a few questions (and wanting and demanding answers) in the direction of his employer and management? Surely, if the Eagles really mean to stick by his side, wouldn't this be an essential time in Vick’s career to do that?? Hey Jeffrey, Joe and Andy do your beloved fans a favor and make a public statement already! It makes no sense why the Eagles let this linger. But, the 27th is coming up quickly gentlemen and you don't want to have your first 2010 season team public press conference (meant to announce the teams upcoming season tempo) to be polluted with question after question on Vick.... - Who really cares if Vick filed for bankruptcy protection.................oh I know the haters. If you had something to protect and knew you weren't going to have any earnings for a while, you would have done the same thing. Hell General Motor, Chrysler Corporation, and thousands of others have done the same thing.
