The Eagles are looking at St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola as a potential free agent signing, according to CSNPhilly.com's Geoff Mosher.

Amendola has registered 60 or more catches in each of the last two seasons, but the Rams are going to let him go after four years in St. Louis.

New Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmer knows Amendola well, having been the Rams' coach when the team signed Amendola in 2009.

Prior to joining the Rams, Amendola spent time on the Eagles' practice squad.

Do you expect the Eagles to make a big splash in the free-agent market?
Yes. They need to rebuild their defense.
No. They are well-stocked with draft picks.

The NFL's free agent signing period officially begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Teams are not allowed to discuss contracts with potential signings until that time.
