Eagles rookie LeSean McCoy will get $1.72M in guaranteed money, according to a report by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

A source tells Florio that McCoy's signing bonus was worth $1.37M, an increase of 10 percent over what the 53rd overall pick received last year.

According to the post, McCoy will receive $357,000 for reaching a one-time 35-percent playing time incentive during his rookie season, or 45 percent in subsequent seasons.

Some other links to pass along this morning...

** Fantasy football owners (which I assume includes everyone reading MTC), good news from Yahoo. They will offer the stat-tracker/live scoring feature for free this season. The fee had previously been $9.99, which added up to a low, eight-figure sum, according to SportsBusiness Daily. ESPN.com offers its fantasy product for free. CBSSports.com charges a fee. I play in three leagues -- two are on CBS and one on Yahoo. It always feels like too much effort to switch providers, plus CBS really hooks you in with the free draft board. What about you all?

** Adrian Hasenmayer of FoxSports.com ranks every QB and RB package in the NFL. The Eagles' quarterbacks rank eighth:

By rallying his Eagles to within a few minutes of the Super Bowl, Donovan McNabb has re-established himself among the game's elite passers. Still, his injury history begs the question, "What if?" The jury is out on 2007 draft pick Kevin Kolb, who was forced to face the Ravens during a second-half in Baltimore in his only chance to snatch the starting gig from Philly's No. 5. At least Feeley has helped guide the Eagles during tough stretches minus McNabb in the past, giving Andy Reid an option of confidence.

At running back, the Eagles rank 13th:

While Andy Reid tries to once again coax his manic Philly fans to relax regarding Brian Westbrook's latest injury (expected to miss most of preseason after recent ankle surgery), the Eagles' multi-talented star hits the dreaded 30 mark in September. For the pessimist, Westbrook is coming off of his least-productive season since 2005. The glass half-full crowd notes Westbrook's stellar playoffs, and the fact that when healthy, he's still among the top 2-3 players with the rock in football. Westbrook insurance was drafted and signed in former Pitt star LeSean McCoy, replacing longtimer Correll Buckhalter as Westbrook's No. 2. The biggest difference in Philly might be the addition of an actual fullback, and one in Weaver, who has had success with the ball as a runner and receiver as well. But Philly's potential on paper could be derailed quickly with a Westbrook injury or McCoy rookie wall.

** Lots of love for McNabb in our poll yesterday. 83 percent of you said he will throw for 4,000 yards during the 2009 season.

Stellar playoffs? He averaged 40 YPG on the ground and caught seven passes over three games. He basically had one big play (the 71-yard screen for a TD against the Vikings), and honestly the credit for that play mostly has to go to the downfield blocking.

Westbrrok has never really been good in the playoffs. I mean, he did not even show up for the superbowl.

I love Westbrook to death, but you could tell he was hurting in the playoffs and when you see D-Linemen catching him from behind, you know he's struggling. I have faith he'll be rejuvenated. Maybe they can spell him with McCoy or Weaver.

This article is about McCoy. Hopefully he can spell Westbrook until he's up and running after 5-7 games but I'd like to see them in the backfield together. WHichever way they go the Eagles need a 2 man running attack to be able to compete in the NFC East, especially late in the season.

While i love Westbrook and don't agree with Igottsda's bashing of him (which is quite amusing since him and lonewolf seem to be brothers separated at birth), I do tend agree that Westbrook hasn't exactly been the most dangerous weapon in the playoffs, except for the screen pass against the Vikings. Prior to that play though he was pretty much just a pawn out there for defenses to pay attention to. However, this could be because he is so beat up by the end of the year. Hopefully with McCoy, he can be fresher when the Birds make a run for it..

Early in his career Westbrook complained be/ AR didn't trust that he could 'hold up' for a full season and limited the playing time. I thought, how naive of BW since he obviously had the talent to be very good but the gradual playing time would extend his career. I was correct because he'd be finished by now. His frequent injuries are the typical 'tell all' about the end is coming for a very good but smallish RB. No insult or criticism meant because BW has been great for the Igg's. Now at the end he'll be sharing time again w/ McCoy and probably whining again but just know that AR will be doing it to stretch BW's career and get all he can out of him whenever he can.

Some of you have hit on it, Westy is usually dinged up by the end of the season from over-use (don't say that to him though, lol) and if they can work McCoy in this year and let Weaver have a fair share of touches then Westbrook will be a lot fresher come playoff time (yes, totally believe we'll be in the playoffs, if all of the new guys are only 80% as good as they appear to be on paper then how can we not) and we'll see him explode some defensive personnel and leave them shaking their heads, nuff said!!!

Westbrook got money before last year that he shouldn't have ever got. He is on the down side of his career and we paid him for his performance in previous years. He can't practice due to knee pain. He will never be the same.

Westbrook has been a huge playmaker for the Eagles during his career and he is the perfect running back for their system. He has been a huge playmaker for this team when no one else was stepping up and making plays. For anyone to try to discredit his value to this team is a joke. The Eagles were wise to draft McCoy at this time. The carries and collisions add up on EVERY runningback in the league and injuries become more frequent. It doesn't mean that Westbrook is "soft". I know one thing, he's a lot tougher than most of you lamebrain critics who sit in front of your computer all day in your underwear making anonymous posts.

30 year old RB's usually have already, or soon will, hit the wall. Brian is out of here after this season. Great Eagle career, too bad no SB, but age is the killer of every RB.
