The Eagles will interview Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for their head coaching vacancy, an NFL source said.

The interview has not yet formally been scheduled, the source said, but it should happen this weekend in Denver. CBSsports.com first reported the news.

McCoy already has interviews scheduled with the Cardinals and Bills. He is permitted to interview for head coaching jobs this weekend only because the Broncos have the AFC's bye in the playoffs.

McCoy, 40, will be one of the more sought after coordinators this offseason. He interviewed for the Dolphins job last year but lost out to Joe Philbin. McCoy's stock is higher this year after the Broncos finished the regular season 13-3.

While quarterback Peyton Manning certainly made his job easier, McCoy had success implementing a much different read option offense that catered to Tim Tebow last year. He has been in Denver since 2009 and before that spent ten seasons with the Panthers, lastly as quarterbacks coach.

The Eagles have interviews set up with Falcons coordinators Mike Nolan (defense), Dirk Koetter (offense) and Keith Armstrong (special teams). They also have Oregon's Chip Kelly, Penn State's Bill O'Brien and Syracuse's Doug Marrone high on their list of candidates to replace Andy Reid
