- Andy is an ignorant person who works in an organization that is very disliked and not respected by the fans shawnmac
- Disliked? They sell out every game! Andy Reid wins every year. If you really hate them as much as you always say, there are plenty of other teams in the league. Carolina or the Browns would love to have you in their fan base.

Thank heavens we have shawnmac to speak for the entire fan base. incinerator
yes, truly, another breath of fresh manure... eagledon- I quote Mr. Banner.....if you keep doing the same thing year after year and expect a different result...you are....FIRED....
- ....and the media loves Andy....including Mr. Hayes and Mr. Ford..they can't get enough GO PHILLIES...at least they won a championship..
- The eagles will never win anything until Reid is gone. Lurie doesn't care about winning as long as he's making millions off us sheep. They are my 4th favorite team in the city (yes, the sixers are ahead of them) and even though I hate soccer I might like the union better than the eagles. It's sad what this once proud franchise has become.
- I'm sure Lurie cares about winning---who would actually WANT to lose?---but yes, making money is his number one priority. And why shouldn't it be? He's a businessman, he bought the Eagles as a business to grow, make profits and make him richer than he ever was. What would you care more about if you were the owner?
Eilex826 - Winning. But thats because I'm a fan of the team. He's from Hollywood, he doesn't have a personal stake in the team. If I had enough money already....enough to buy a team....winning would be my priority. Instead he stands behind a guy who thinks he knows more than anybody else and couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag.
- That's all fine and good to say as a fan but I doubt you'd follow through if you actually did own the team. Why? Because if you or I came into enough money to buy the Eagles it would be done through either hard work or inheritance---coming into that much money cannot be attributed to luck. If you worked that hard to make a Billion dollars you wouldn't sacrifice it just to win. And you don't know that spending more money and turning your franchise into a loser (financially) would turn it into a winner. YOu don't know that firing Andy Reid and bringing in a new coach would translate into a SB. Who would you bring in? Cowher? His record is worse than Andy's...what's got 15 years coaching in the league with one title, one in his next-to-last year? Gruden? The guy who couldn't get over the hump in Oakland, then inherited Tony Dungy's defense in Tampa and then beat his former team when he knew the playbook? And hasn't won anything since? Two winners there.
If you're so sick of losing now and think Andy Reid is the worst coach in football...do you remember what it was like before he got here? Do you remember Rich Kotite, Ray Rhoades and company? Eilex826 - If that's what you think Mr. Sheep. Don't go to the bloody games.

The 2011 season: lose last two reg season games, finish 10-6, make the playoffs, lose in the first game by not running the football, passing 90% of the time in a close game while the defense gets hammered - all of this for a thrid straight year!!! Fat Boy is then rewarded with a 5 year contract extension, and Lurie and Banner raise tix prices!!! MrBigDizzle
The real question is: will the
Birds and Andy make the correct choices in the draft? Coaches are fine and changes are weird and fun but...if you do not have the skilled great players, no coach will help a team. We need good draft and trade choices to make the team great. Can Andy still do that??? Koons
Just curious...
When do we start signing our own free agents now that Vick is in the barn...I especially care about Jerome Harrison...and wonder who the Free agents are that we will actively go after Bigmike 34
It doesn't matter who the defensive coordinator is, until the players on defense are upgraded through drafting or free agency, there will not be a measurable improvement from the defense's results. The fans have grown weary of Reid and Banner because they keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Good offense sells tickets, but good defense wins championships. Until the Eagles defense improves, a Super Bowl coming to Philly isn't happening anytime soon. RunningTheBases- I trust Andy Reid. He's one of the best coaches in the NFL. Go Iggs
Reading these post makes me wanna puke . Is there issues HELLLL YES but this team and org is always right there . This past year we had tons of injuries to a young D and a O line banged up and they still got to 10-6 and made the playoffs . kdubs215- I agree, Andy is a very good coach. The best this team has had since Vermeil. I would rather be in the running for a Championship every year than fighting for the 1st pick in the draft. If you guys want to go to the way it was in the 90s go ahead. Look, Bill Cowher did not win anything until his 14th year. AR is right on schedule. GO BIRDS!!!!!

Andy Reid is a great coach, but enoguh with trying to out smart everyone. Can you name how many times in the past 20 years a professional team changed their offensive coordinator into a defensive coordinator? If you can give me a name can you tell me where the defense ranked? Since I love the Eagles I hope it works, but if it doesn't Reid must go. Gregory1
True, they did make the playoffs with a young D and injuries galore. But can you really get behind changing Juan Castillo to D coordinator and the rest of the Eagles’ coaching moves? This group also has a history of making other mind boggling moves. Wonder when they're going to pick up Bob Sanders. Better strike while the iron hot.

Why do we want another injury prone player from the Colts ex. Marlon Jackson...? Gregory1
@ the posters that think Laurie doesn't want to win; Apparently you don't understanding the direct relation between winning a Superbowl and the opportunity for exponential revenue growth that would result. The man wants to win because, as an owner, he makes more money if he does.
As for Andy Reid, people want to talk about how bad he is while talking about how great Cower was. Cower coached in the league 3 more years than Reid, had just 2 more playoff wins, just 2 more division championships, only 1 more conference championship, and didn't win a Superbowl until he hit his 14 year mark with the Steelers. His last season with them, they finished 8-8. From what I can tell, Reid measures up quite well with a coach that some believe is one of the best in the last decade. dusk2k3
Gregory, that was sarcasm, a mind boggling move. That's the kind of move I'm afraid the management will make. But, they wouldn't move on a new D coordinator until the pool dried up. In a couple years, despite his work ethic, Castillo's liable to be coaching somewhere else, the new fall guy for Andy and Co. Hope I'm wrong. Jimmy J's don't come along very often. pigsofsunday- Eilex826
You either work for the Eagles or a stone cold F.O. sheep, either way your comments are suspect. We are fans, have been here long before Reid, Lurie and Banner and will be here long after. Why does it always have to be Kotite or Ray Rhodes, why not Mike Mcarthy or Mike Tomlin or Sean Payton? We don;pt care about Luries $ we want a champonship and should stop supporting them until we get one! - @daddy, I truly understand what you are trying to say, but not supporting the owner means 1)not going to games, 2)not buying merchandise, and 3)not watching games on TV. Can you live with that? I sure can't, I love the game too much. Reid we can get rid of, but not Lurie and his friend Joe. Live with it. I keep thinking how clueless those Redskins 'dumb and dumber' fans are. If they hate Snyder so much, what's the point in paying him even more money just to go to his stadium and wear a stupid T-shirt??
goeagles87 - I agree that I too am addicted however if we stop going to the games it may send a message. I know the tickets are already sold however the lack of parking revenue and the concession sales would send a message. It's a pipe dream I know, but I hate the smuggness of this whole oragnization and would like to voice it somehow
people always complaining about the draft, look at the percentages, its a gamble and few teams get it most of the time...per Reids playoff record and even just geting to the playoffs, makes the eagles draft about 2/3rds better than the rest of the league. Just look at the offense and if youve watched the way they upgrade in time, its just enough to keep the team relevent every yr. It just feels like they are a few players short or its Reids system that is just good enough to win in regular season but the rest is a bit of luck and timing or its the same ole same ole. Ill take the close so long as the ring comes but patience is wearing. peteike
The team wins annually. Games are sold out every year with packed crouds in the worst kind of weather. Go to Carolina, Atlanta, etc., and you can almost pick your seat. Like Reid or not, he continues to win. I never miss a game because no matter who the Eagles are playing, I believe they will pull it out. Eagle fans are a set of few fans who can say that and really mean it. dapmman
Joe Banner said the Eagles have a better record than Pittsburgh. Here all the time we thought it was McNabb that was goofy, then when did the same thing with a different quarterback, we were pretty sure it wasReid that was goofy. Now we know the truth. It is Joe Eagles have a better record than Pittsburgh Banner. If going to three suoerbowls and winning two of them doesn't mean anything, whu is never any superbowl and crapping out in all the other playoffs, make him think Reid is a genus? Is that mental hospital still open in Byberry? marioP- The only reason we're not talking about Reid getting fired this year (or next for that matter) is the fact that Vick single-handedly saved the season by scrambling away from a swiss cheese O-Line and making eerily accurate throws for most of the season. Coaching decisions? Whatever man.
Reid, like every other coach in the NFL has made good, and poor choices in the draft. The last few years the FO has finally made an effort to draft some play makers to surround our QB with. In doing so the Defensive picks have come to late. Allen and Graham were good picks last year IMO. The defense needs more talent either through the draft or free agency. The biggest problem this team has right now will not be affected my new position coaches, or a new DC. The problem is Andy and Marty not being able to make in game adjustments with the offense. A great game plan, means nothing if they can't switch on the fly. notrix
