Eagles coach Andy Reid said he was not in touch with anyone regarding coming aboard as a defensive consultant and did not offer the position to anyone.

"Nobody. Zero. Nothing," he said.

He also denied being involved in any conversations about the subject.

He said reports, including the one that he wanted to hire former Browns coach Eric Mangini "are all fabricated."

**

On the injury front, Cullen Jenkins has a triceps strain and is likely not to practice much today. Reid said he expects Jenkins to play Sunday.

Reid said Kurt Coleman and Jaiquawn Jarrett will split reps with the first team defense, with safety Jarrad Page limited by a stinger.

Juqua Parker will be limited with a high ankle sprain.

Trent Cole and Jason Peters will not practice.

**

Reid reiterated that the Eagles need to correct the issues with turnovers and improving on the little things. He cited a statistic that if you have five turnovers in a game, you have a 6 percent chance of winning. He said the team morale is good and the players want to get better.

More to come.

will you please start Coleman...Page missed more tackles in 2 plays than Coleman missed in 2 Seasons...Why does one get benched and not the other?...I know Coleman isn't BDawk, but at least he adds some energy...and yeah...get Jarrett ready...

It is about time. I think they are saying Page has a stinger so the fans will take it easy on the coach who had him in there and continued to have him in there knowing darn well he should be sitting the bench. There is a reason why some guys get cut and are FAs.

Wouldn't make much sense to hire Mangini, since he's a 3-4 guy.

I think these can and will turn it around and it starts Sunday. Would just love to here though that Page is sitting due to play and not that it was some "stinger" and hope to hear they changed the DB to man coverage for Asante and NA (otherwise Asante needs to be benched until he shows he is capable and willing to tackle). Stop the turnovers and make those changes and bet we'll start winning!

Reid was going to call in a clock management consultant, but lost track of the time and forgot to call him.

Jarrett needs to be playing--it's time for Jarrett to lay the "WOOD" on some RB's and WR's! Coleman is a stiff that has NO SPEED

Did anybody see detroit and chicago on monday night---Detroit runs the same wide nine defense that we do and it works-why because they have linebackers who make plays and read the other teams offense and there front four tackles very well and they blitz well to. they also keep sending in new defensive lineman--so they can always be fresh and keep up with the pressure on the other teams qb--HELLO CASTILLO-

ESPN is reporting that Eagles called Eric Mangini and wanted him to be defensive consultant....but Mangini turned down the Eagles offer....Philly.com should try to keep up with this news and report it.

bout time page sits and give jarret a look sheesh..now all they need to do is fire juan, sit fokou and start jordan and stop with the zone coverage when ya best corner is a man coverage corner..trade asante for a better linebacker..i know its too logical for the eagles to make those moves..smh
