Paul Domowitch's NFL draft grades
An analysis of the NFC East's draft and how it compares to rest of the league.
EAGLES
Derek Barnett was a solid pick at 14 and will immediately improve the pass rush. Taking the injured Sidney Jones with the 43rd pick was a big gamble that may or may not pay off. They took some guys like Rasul Douglas and Donnel Pumphrey with huge production numbers even if they had size or speed shortcomings.
Grade: B
REDSKINS
Jonathan Allen was a top-5 talent who slid because of arthritic shoulders, and Fabian Moreau fell to the third round because of a pec injury. Both of them, along with second-rounder Ryan Anderson, should help improve a defense that finished 28th in yards allowed.
Grade: B-plus
COWBOYS
What do you get a team that has everything on offense, but gave up 34 points in a playoff loss? Defense, of course. Lots and lots of defense. Taco Charlton, Chidobe Awuzie andJourdan ewis all could be Day 1 starters.
Grade: B
GIANTS
Evan Engram gives Eli Manning another intriguing pass-catching weapon. They failed to find a potential right tackle for him. But this draft didn't have many worth investing in.
