Domo's Take: Eagles added two potential defensive difference-makers with their first two picks (DT Fletcher Cox, LB Mychal Kendricks). With Joselio Hanson turning 31 in August, Brandon Boykin gives the Eagles a younger nickel corner option as well as a guy who can return kicks. Seventh-round RB Bryce Brown is an intriguing pick.

Domo's Take: The price to move up and get Robert Griffin III was steep, but when your QB options are Rex Grossman and John Beck and you have a chance to get a player like RGIII, you pay whatever it takes. 'Skins further solidified the position in the fourth round with the addition of Kirk Cousins. Addressed their o-line needs in the third and fifth rounds.

Domo's Take: Giants used first-round pick on RB David Miller, who they hope will fill the void created by the departure of Brandon Jacobs. Third-rounder Jayron Hosley could help as both a nickel corner and a much-needed return weapon. GM Jerry Reese wasn't able to address his biggest need, OT, until the fourth round, and that selection, Brandon Mosley, isn't going to be a Day 1 starter.

Domo's Take: Cowboys made a bold first-round move, trading up from 14 to 6 to grab Morris Claiborne, the draft's best corner. They added five-technique depth to their line in the third round with the selection of DE Tyrone Crawford. But the rest of their draft kind of left me flat. I don't see fifth-round WR Danny Coale competing for the No. 3 wideout job behind Austin Miles and Dez Bryant anytime soon.

Domo's Take: Bears needed another pass-rusher, but Shea McClellin is considered a better fit as a 3-4 rush linebacker than a 4-3 end. While they got Jay Cutler another big pass-catching target in the second round (6-4 Alshon Jeffery), they did nothing to improve the offensive line that protects him.

Domo's Take: Packers GM Ted Thompson focused his attention on upgrading his team's 32nd-ranked defense, devoting the team's first six picks to that side of the ball. Thompson is hoping first-round pass-rusher Nick Perry will help take the pressure off Clay Matthews. If second-round corner Casey Hayward can play right away, Packers would be able to move Charles Woodson to safety.

Domo's Take: The Lions got excellent value with their first-round pick, selecting the draft's second-rated offensive tackle, Riley Reiff, at 23. It remains to be seen how much of a contribution they'll get from Ryan Broyles in 2012. He's still recovering from a torn ACL. But when he's healthy, he's going to give them an excellent slot-receiving option.

Domo's Take: Christian Ponder's blindside will be in good hands for the foreseeable future with the addition of the draft's top tackle, Matt Kalil. GM Rick Spielman filled another major need by trading up for another late first-round pick and grabbing the draft's second-rated safety, Harrison Smith.

Domo's Take: Falcons only had two picks in the first four rounds because of last year's trade-up for WR Julio Jones, which needs to be factored into the equation. They attacked their primary need - offensive line - with both of their Day 2 picks. Second-rounder Peter Konz is a plug-and-play center, while third-round tackle Lamar Holmes probably will take a while to develop.

Domo's Take: If Fletcher Cox helps the Eagles win the Super Bowl, Andy Reid will need to send a thank you card to Panthers GM Marty Hurney, who passed on Cox with the ninth overall pick in favor of LB Luke Kuechly. It's hard to argue with the selection though. Kuechly is a three-down 'backer with outstanding instincts. Fifth-round corner Josh Norman could end up being the Day 1 starter opposite Chris Gamble.

Domo's Take: The Saints didn't have a pick in the first two rounds, giving up their No. 1 in last year's trade-up for RB Mark Ingram and forfeiting their second-round pick as part of their Bountygate punishment. Third-round DL Akiem Hicks played his college ball in Canada and is a bit of a project. Fourth-round WR Nick Toon is a big target with excellent hands, but has difficulty getting separation, though he ran a 4.38 at his Pro Day

Domo's Take: Bucs followed an eventful free agency shopping spree with a very successful draft. They traded down from 5 to 7 and still walked away with the top safety in the draft, Mark Barron. Moved up and added three-down back Doug Martin at the back-end of the first round. Added one of the top 4-3 OLBs in the draft in Round 2, Lavonte David.

Domo's Take: If Kevin Kolb can't throw for 4,000 yards with Larry Fitzgerald on one side and first-rounder Michael Floyd on the other, then it might be time for him to think about hunting wild hogs full-time. Cards spent three of their other six picks on their primary need -- offensive tackle. Odds are at least one of them should be an improvement over their current swinging-door RT Jeremy Bridges.

Domo's Take: After trading out of the second spot in the draft, the Rams ended up with five of the first 65 picks and 10 selections overall. They ended up with quantity, but I don't know about quality, particularly if their second-round gamble on Pacman II - CB Janoris Jenkins - blows up in their face.

Domo's Take: WR A.J. Jenkins was considered a late-second or early-third-round pick on many draft boards. But 49ers GM Trent Baalke wanted to get QB Alex Smith a vertical threat, and opted for Jenkins, a 4.36 speedster, over bigger targets like Reuben Randle, Stephen Hill, Brian Quick and Alshon Jeffrey. Second-round RB LeMichael James will be a good change-of-pace option to Frank Gore and Brandon Jacobs.

Domo's Take: Bruce Irvin is a helluva pass-rusher and the NFL is all about getting pressure on the quarterback. But the 245-pounder strictly is a situational player. Can't play on first down. Taking him with the 15th overall pick made little sense. Second round? Sure. Middle of the first round? Uh-uh. Another head-scratcher: taking QB Russell Wilson in the third round less than two months after you signed Matt Flynn.

Domo's Take: After improving the front end of their defense in free agency with the addition of Mario Williams, the Bills upgraded a back end that gave up 30 touchdown passes last season by grabbing CB Stephon Gilmore with the 10th pick. He'll be an immediate starter. OT Cordy Glenn was a good value pick in the second round at a position of need.

Domo's Take: Bill Belichick is one of the league's very best trade-down maestros. But this year, he traded up with both of his first round picks and landed two players - OLB Chandler Jones and ILB Don't'a Hightower - who will provide immediate help to a front seven that needs help. CB/S Tavon Wilson, who didn't even receive an invite to the scouting combine, appeared to be a big reach in the second round. But they later landed CB Alfonzo Dennard, who was regarded as a second-round talent before he punched a cop out last week, in the seventh round.

Domo's Take: Using the eighth pick in the draft on a QB with just 19 college starts takes either very big cojones or very little intelligence. Considering who we're dealing with here, I'm leaning toward the latter. I like their next four picks, though. They got a Day 1 starting RT in Jonathan Martin, a good 4-3 defensive end in Olivier Vernon and a home-run threat running back in Lamar Miller.

Domo's Take: First-round pick Quinton Coples would seem to have been a more logical choice for a 4-3 team than the Jets' 3-4. But Rex Ryan took him over several better edge-rushing fits, including Melvin Ingram, Shea McClellion and Chandler Jones. Ryan said he intends to play Coples as a base d-end and also move him inside. WR Stephen Hill was a good value pick in the second round that also addressed a major need.

Domo's Take: Bengals didn't hit any home runs, but had a very solid draft that addressed a lot of needs. Both of their two first-rounders, CB Dre Kirkpatrick and G Kevin Zeitler, should contribute right away. DTs Devon Still and Brandon Thompson provide needed depth to the d-line.

Domo's Take: Another very solid draft for GM Ozzie Newsome and his personnel department. Ravens moved out of the first-round when the Patriots beat them to Don't'a Hightower, but still got a first-round caliber player early in the second in OLB Courtney Upshaw. Bernard Pierce is a big, strong back who will help take some of the load off of Ray Rice's shoulders.

Domo's Take: Steelers personnel chief Kevin Colbert must live right. His team's top priority was upgrading the offensive line, and whadaya know, the draft's top interior lineman - David DeCastro - falls into his lap at 24. Colbert may have found Casey Hampton's NT replacement in the fourth round in Alameda Ta'amu.

Domo's Take: Trent Richardson is the best RB to come out since Adrian Peterson. But in a league that's become all about the pass, I question the decision to take him over WR Justin Blackmon. Browns used their second first-round pick on 28-year-old QB Brandon Weeden, but didn't get him any pass-catching help until the fourth round (Travis Benjamin).

Domo's Take: The Colts had nowhere to go but down after taking QB Andrew Luck with the first overall pick. But Ryan Grigson's first draft as GM was very solid beyond landing Luck. Grigson got the team's new franchise QB lots of pass-catching weapons, including the draft's two top-rated tight ends - Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen - and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, a 4.36 burner who will play in the slot and also return kicks.

TEXANS

1 (26) Whitney Mercilus, lb, Illinois.

3 (76) Brandon Brooks, g, Miami (Ohio).

3 (68) DeVier Posey, wr, Ohio State.

4 (99) Ben Jones, c, Georgia.

4 (121) Keshawn Martin, wr, Michigan State.

Domo's Take: Texans went value over need in the first round, taking pure pass-rusher Whitney Marcellus over a wideout or offensive lineman. He will rotate with Connor Barwin and Brooks Reed on the edge in Wade Phillips' 3-4 scheme. Beefed up the interior of their offensive line later on with additions of Brandon Brooks and Ben Jones.

Domo's Take: The Titans had two crying needs going into this draft - defensive end and cornerback - but didn't address either until Day 3, selecting Clemson CB Coty Sensabaugh in the fourth round and Rice DE Scott Solomon in the seventh. I'm not a big fan of their second-round pick, LB Zach Brown. He was one of the draft's fastest LBs, but isn't very physical. Think Matt McCoy.

JAGUARS

1 (5) Justin Blackmon, wr, Oklahoma State.

Domo's Take: GM Gene Smith went right after the Jags' two biggest needs, trading up from 7 to 5 to get the draft's best wideout, Justin Blackmon, and adding a solid pass-rusher in the second round in Andre Branch. Not sure I see the wisdom in taking a punter (Bryan Anger) in the third round though, when you needed offensive line help.

Grade: B-minus

Domo's Take: Chargers needed to find some offensive line help, but didn't take an OL until the fifth round. LB Melvin Ingram was great value at 18 and will provide a big boost to a pass rush that had just 32 sacks last season. Third-round safety Brandon Taylor is a potential starter at a position of need.

Domo's Take: I'm not crazy about either of their first two picks - DT Derek Wolfe or QB Brock Osweiler. DT, particularly a three-technique DT, was a crying need. But I thought the 36th pick was much too high for Wolfe. If the Broncos are hoping the 6-7 Osweiler eventually will be the guy who succeeds Peyton Manning, I think they're going to be very disappointed. I do Like their third-round pick - change-of-pace back Ronnie Hillman.

Domo's Take: Chiefs GM Scott Pioli usually prefers "clean'' players, but he uncharacteristically rolled the dice on boom-or-bust NT Dontari Poe with the 11th overall pick. He might've plugged his biggest need or might've given owner Clark Hunt enough ammunition to fire him. Pioli got some much-needed offensive line help in the second and third rounds (G Jeff Allen, OT Donald Stephenson).

Domo's Take: Aside from the fact that they selected two of the four Penn State players that were drafted, the Raiders' draft was as notable as elevator music. They didn't even have a pick until the third round. Acquired a lot of core special teams players, but few legitimate starters. Fifth-round WR Juron Criner is a big target who reminds many scouts of Anquan Boldin.
