New Jersey Governor Chris Christie revealed his favorite sports teams while talking to students at Samsel Upper Elementary School on Tuesday.

Christie told the youngsters that his favorite basketball team is the New York Knicks. His favorite baseball team is the New York Mets. His favorite football team?

“My favorite football team is not the New York Giants, it’s not the New York Jets, and it’s not the Philadelphia Eagles,” Christie said. “Get ready now: My favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys - which, by the way, is not the smartest thing for the governor of New Jersey to want to be.”

This is not the first time the governor confessed to being a Cowboys fan. Christie divulged that information when the Giants played the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

Christie told the students that he was a big fan of Roger Staubach, the Cowboys quarterback at the time. He went on to explain that when he was eight or nine years old he watched his father get angry and yell at the television every Sunday during Giants games, which made him think, “Why would I want to root for a team that makes you angry?”

Clearly, he could never have been a fan of any Philadelphia sports team.
