LeSean McCoy fired superagent Drew Rosenhaus earlier this week when he filed papers with the NFL Players Association, the Eagles running back confirmed Friday.

McCoy, however, rescinded the termination request a day later.

"Everything happens for a reason Drew Rosenhaus BEST AGENT OUT," McCoy tweeted Thursday.

McCoy said the tweet had something to do with staying with Rosenhaus, but was also because the agent will be profiled on "60 Minutes" this Sunday.

Rosenhaus was in Philadelphia on Wednesday and went out to dinner with his client at Chickie & Pete's in South Philadelphia. McCoy said that after the meal he filed the termination papers with the Players' union. However, after Rosenhaus stuck around another day in attempt to woo back McCoy, the third-year running back rescinded the termination notice.

McCoy did not offer an explanation as to why he initially ditched Rosenhaus or why he retained the NFL's most popular agent.

There is a five-day window in which players have to rescind the termination notice. McCoy said that after he filed the papers he didn't contact another agent, figuring he would receive calls once the news was out.

On Wednesday, Rosenhaus was spotted at the NovaCare Complex. Along with McCoy, he also represents wide receiver DeSean Jackson and three other Eagles players.

McCoy is in the third-year of the four-year contract he signed as a rookie when he was drafted in the second round. Asked a month ago about the possibility the Eagles would extend his deal sometime during the season, McCoy referenced Jackson's 11-day holdout in August.

Jackson is in the final year of his four-year contract and has made it no secret that he wants a new contract.

“Let me be honest with you, I never want to be in that situation,” McCoy said. “Everybody’s situation is different. [An extension] would be a blessing if that happened because I don’t want to go anywhere else or play anywhere else. I love it here. I’m a Pennsylvania guy – from high school to college to here.”

hey, Drew once put down his cellphone to save a kid who was drowning in a hotel pool.
"Shady" likes to collect money for appearances, but then not show up and not give the money back.
get's confusing telling the good guys from the bad guys, doesn't it.

Keep playing like you did last week, carrying the football like a loaf of bread, and no agent is going to get you a big contract.

Hmmm, how's Rosenhaus going to explain to De- and LeSean that only one of them will get big money from the Eagles??? No way they're both gonna get paid to their satisfaction. It's a tough call for the FO. On one hand, WRs get more cash because they stay on the field longer than RBs. But, LeSean is, by far, the better player.

I wish we could fire all of the Republicans in the same manner, only I wouldn't re-hire them. After all, Republicans do nothing buy hurt women, children, minorities, and gays, and then blame it all on the black President.
