Marcus Mariota may not throw at the NFL Combine

The top quarterback in this year's NFL Draft may not be able to attempt a pass at this year's Combine.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, a name well known among Eagles circles, injured his right shoulder on a big hit from Ohio State's Joey Bosa during Oregon's loss in the National Championship. Speaking to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Mariota said he had sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder, which has made his full participation in the Combine (February 17-23) questionable.

Though he is able to throw now, Mariota says he is "...still making that decision, whether to throw at the Combine."

The Heisman Trophy winner is projected to be a top pick in the NFL Draft, which will take place April 30. Mariota did not play in the Senior Bowl on Saturday, instead appearing at a Polynesian Football Hall of Fame event.
