Man Up: Peters, O-line control Jets

Here's the player-by-player look at the Eagles' offensive performance, after having re-watched the 45-19 win over the Jets.

If you missed the defensive breakdown, click here.

Michael Vick - Against the Cardinals and Dolphins, Vick completed just 48.4 percent of his passes and averaged 5.25 yards per attempt, but he bounced back with one of his best performances of the year against the Jets, completing 15 of 22 passes for 274 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Vick also ran five times for 32 yards and notched his first rushing TD of the season. I'll have the full breakdown in Mike Check tomorrow, but Vick's throw to Brent Celek for 38 yards in the first was on the money, right over Bart Scott's hands. Later, he made a gutsy throw, staying in the pocket and delivering the ball to Celek before taking a big hit on the 26-yard touchdown. Vick did a good job of fooling the linebacker with a pump-fake, before hitting Celek for a 73-yard gain in the third.

LeSean McCoy - McCoy carried 18 times for 102 yards, averaging 5.7 yards per carry and piling up three touchdowns. He had a nice 11-yard run in the first and showed great vision on the 9-yard touchdown. When McCoy got to the sideline, we learned he and Duce Staley have a special handshake. And I loved that when Marty Mornhinweg was talking to McCoy on the sideline, Asante Samuel stood behind them and performed the McCoy touchdown celebration dance. Classic. McCoy lost his first fumble of the season in the second quarter. Great individual effort on the 33-yard touchdown run in the fourth. McCoy even has a special handshake with Evan Mathis, which the pair performed after that score.

Owen Schmitt - Good game as a blocker in the run game by Schmitt. He had a nice lead block on Jamaal Westerman on McCoy's 11-yard run in the first and got the job done again on McCoy's 3-yard carry on 3rd-and-1 in the second. On McCoy's second touchdown run, Schmitt blocked safety Brodney Pool.

Ronnie Brown - He had a 1-yard carry in the first and finished with six carries for 18 yards, spelling McCoy in the fourth. Good blitz pickup by Brown on Vick's deep incompletion to Jason Avant in the second.

Dion Lewis - He had a nice 7-yard run in the first, but fumbled a kickoff return in the first half. I'll admit, I thought Lewis would be much better as a return man, but he hasn't given the Eagles anything in that role all season.

Jason Peters - Following a subpar effort against the Dolphins, the Eagles' offensive line was outstanding against the Jets, and that effort started with Peters, who bullied defenders all day. Peters did a good job in pass protection on the 38-yard completion to Celek. Good block on David Harris on Lewis' 7-yard run in the first. Peters effortlessly moved Harris out of the way on McCoy's 11-yard run. He shoved linebacker Josh Mauga out of the way on McCoy's 3-yard run on 3rd-and-1. And he took Muhammad Wilkerson to the ground, creating an opening for McCoy to convert a 2nd-and-1 carry in the second. Just an outstanding game all around from Peters.

Evan Mathis - He was pretty good too. Mathis did a good job on the defensive end on McCoy's 11-yard run, and he threw defensive end Ropati Pitoitua to the ground on McCoy's 3-yard run in the second. Mathis blocked Sione Pouha on McCoy's 12-yard run in the second. He had some trouble picking up Westerman, as Vick was forced to run for 9 yards in the second. And Mathis was called for an unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting Harris late in the fourth.

Jason Kelce - Ups and downs for Kelce, but overall, the line seemed to be ready for pretty much everything the Jets threw their way, so he deserves credit for that. Great job on Pouha on McCoy's 6-yard run in the first. Kelce had an excellent block on Harris on McCoy's 12-yard run in the second. And he held his own in pass protection on Vick's 73-yard completion to Celek. The downs? Kelce had trouble with Pouha on McCoy's 3-yard run in the second, and he got beat by him in pass protection, as Vick was forced to scramble in the second. Kelce and Mathis let a blitzer go unblocked between them in the third; Vick got hit as he released a 12-yard completion to Jackson. And Kelce got beat by Pouha in the fourth. Vick initially escaped pressure, but then took a hit as he threw the ball away.

Danny Watkins - Watkins held up well in pass protection. I didn't notice any breakdowns, which is a good sign. He held his own on the 38-yard completion to Celek and did a good job on Pitoitua on McCoy's second TD run in the third.

Todd Herremans - Herremans got the job done in protection. I didn't notice him get beat all day. Vick had plenty of time to find his receivers downfield, and the line did not give up a single sack until Vince Young entered the game.

King Dunlap - He came in at the goal line in the third and blocked a linebacker on McCoy's second TD run.

Brent Celek - Career game for Celek, who finished with five catches on six targets for 156 yards. He had the 38-yard grab in the first, and about 17 of those yards came after the catch. Celek showed great concentration, tipping the ball to himself on the 26-yard touchdown in the first. And he had the 73-yard catch and run, which set up the Eagles' fifth touchdown. Celek blocked Calvin Pace on McCoy's second TD run in the third.

Clay Harbor - Good game for Harbor. Nice job in pass protection on the 38-yard completion to Celek in the first. And nice block on Westerman on McCoy's 3-yard run on 3rd-and-1. He finished with two catches for 20 yards, including a 16-yard grab in the third.

DeSean Jackson - He only had two catches for 28 yards, but Jackson played a good game. Nice job to go up and get the ball for a 16-yard gain on 3rd-and-7 against Darrelle Revis, setting up the Eagles' third touchdown. And great hustle to chase down and tackle Pool after the McCoy fumble. Jackson's illegal shift penalty negated a 22-yard completion to Jeremy Maclin in the third.

Jeremy Maclin - Not all of his contributions will show up in the box score. Maclin finished with three catches for 57 yards, including a 16-yard grab in the first. He had a nice cut block on McCoy's 6-yard run around the right edge. And Maclin delivered a great effort blocking downfield on Celek's 73-yard catch in the third. On McCoy's 33-yard touchdown, he first blocked Antonio Cromartie and then Pool. Great effort all around, even when the ball wasn't in his hands.

Jason Avant - No catches for Avant, who was targeted twice.

Riley Cooper - He was only targeted once, but made the most of it, breaking a tackle and picking up 18 yards in the third.

Chad Hall - No targets, no carries for Hall.
