FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Jeremy Maclin cut Wednesday's practice with the Patriots short after he said his left hamstring "grabbed" on him.

The Eagles wide receiver had just caught a long touchdown pass from Nick Foles during team drills when he walked to the sideline and was visibly upset. He met briefly with trainer Chris Peduzzi and then stood on the sideline for the rest of practice.

Maclin's right knee was also iced after the last two days of practice. He tore the ACL in his right knee last July and missed all of last season. He didn't say if the ice was just precautionary.

Maclin cited soreness in his legs as the reason why he was a limited participant in two practices last week. He played in the preseason opener at the Chicago Bears on Friday night and caught one pass for 15 yards. He said he was hopeful he could play in Friday's game against the Patriots.

"It shouldn't be a big deal," Maclin said. "Go back and treat it and should be back tomorrow."

The Eagles are scheduled to have a walkthrough practice with New England tomorrow.

Maclin had been one of the standout players for the first two days of joint practices with the Patriots. He made several catches against Darrelle Revis and drew holding penalties against the all pro cornerback.
