Looks Like No Vick, Maclin; Nnamdi Unlikely?

The Eagles wrapped up their practice week on a beautiful Black Friday without quarterback Michael Vick, wideout Jeremy Maclin or corner Nnamdi Asomugha. Eagles coach Andy Reid told reporters Maclin is doubtful with a hamstring injury, and that Vick (ribs) and Asomugha (knee hyperextension) are questionable, but with neither Vick nor Asomugha practicing, you have to think the Bird are preparing to play without them.

Wideout DeDSean Jackson, fined $10,000 by the NFL for his taunting violation last Sunday at the Giants, practiced despite a bruised foot and is probable, Reid said. Jackson confirmed he is OK for the Patriots Sunday.

Corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie practiced and is listed as questionable, but from the tone of Reid's remarks, it doesn't seem DRC is ready to return from a high ankle sprain.

It seems pretty clear Vince Young will lead the Birds against Tom Brady, after a performance against the Giants that started out ragged but ended in triumph. Young authored an 18-play drive for the winning touchdown, converting six third downs along the way.

"I think it was a huge confidence boost for our entire team, coaching staff, everybody," Young said.

Several Eagles this week praised Young's leadership skills, his command of the huddle -- not the sort of thing you heard a lot about during his turbulent 5 years in Tennessee.

"I like to keep guys loose," Young said. "Having a good time, but at the same time taking care of your responsibilities ... Don't try to get to the point where you have to try to do something big. Just play the game, play the game, respect the (play) calls, be aggressive, and if you have a mistake, put it in the past, go to the sideline and correct it. Those are some of the things I have to do as a quarterback to keep things going."

The NFL said Trevor Laws was fined $7,500 for his Sunday hit on Eli Manning, after an intreception. Laws said he had not been informed of the fine, but he had suspected it was coming.
