Injuries pile up in win over Dolphins

How would you like to see the Eagles finish the season?
Lose as many as possible to get a higher draft choice and maybe get a change in coaching.
Win as many as possible to stay alive in the NFC East and gain some momentum for next season.
Doesn’t matter. I stopped caring.

The Eagles beat the Miami Dolphins, but came home with several injuries:

· Michael Vick’s ribs are sore, but “he’s OK,” coach Andy Reid said. “He was able to function with it and function well and didn’t feel like he was hindered by it, though, that was good.”

· Right tackle Todd Herremans has a sprained ankle and was seen getting treatment during the game.

· Running back Ronnie Brown has a strained hamstring that was suffered on the last play of game.

· Defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins has a strained groin.

· Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin’s hamstring tightened up during the game. “He’s feeling OK today,” Reid said. “We’ll see how he does.”

· Darryl Tapp has a fractured rib that was discovered on an MRI today. After the game, Tapp said the play he was injured on was a dirty play.

· Steve Smith was inactive after his knee swelled up on the plane during the trip to Miami. An MRI showed a bone bruise. The injury is to the same knee that Smith had repaired with microfracture surgery late last season.

Steve Smith. This one I love as this team heralded this signing like they found a hidden gem at the corner yard sale. If he was healthy the Giants would have brought him back. But as always we were smarter than everyone else. We had better medical information. It is obvious the dude is not healthy.

Todd Herremans has been brutal the past 2 weeks. I am hopeful he actually is hurt because he has been throwing more LOOK OUT blocks than anyone lately.

Brown hurt his hamstring? Did not even realize he did anything on the field that resembled full speed.

Tapp got hurt too. he is another defensive monster. He fits our mold of short and overall undersized.

andy loves to get guys coming off of knee surgery.

they signed marlin jackson coming off of knee surgery. he blew up his knee again during camp for the eagles and didn't do squat.

they drafted cornelius ingram off of major knee surgery. of course he kept re-injuring his knee and also didn't do squat.

Nothing too serious it seems. Shame for Smith. But with his initial knee surgery

Steve Smith what a wasted pick-up-just threw away 4 million dollars --wow-how is that our doctors can discover cancer from another player-but cant tell if a players knee as healed correctly.

The play where Tapp got hurt was the safety. He was on the ground and the lineman pounded him. I thought it was dirty.

Just amazing that we were smart enough to move up to get Brandon Graham while Jason-Paul Pierre was just sitting there to be drafted. Another reason why changes are needed as we can't get 1st round picks to have any major impact. Name me the last good one?????

If the Eagles drafted JPP, how do you know he wouldn't underacheive here? If the Giants took Brandon Graham, I bet he'd be a beast. Instead of stealing Steve Smith from the giants, we should have stole their DL coach.

I understand if Steve Smith couldn't go yesterday but come on what about the weeks prior to that when we are using CHAD HALL as a receiver while Steve Smith is dressed and sitting on the sideline!! Who are we kidding?

Big Ron--- Like you knew JPP when he was in college, stop your nonsense.... 18 teams passed on randy moss, we took fred ex over reggie wayne, 20 teams passed on sapp.. OMG guess what? 220 picks before Brady!... every team passes on players, always easy to look back. Trent Cole was 5th round fyi!
