In their Super Bowl championship season, the Giants only went 3-3 in the NFC East, with a loss to the Eagles and two losses to last-place Washington.

That might not make running back Ahmad Bradshaw an expert, but he was asked for his opinions about the other teams in the division.

His observations on the Eagles were astute in their obviousness: “I think it might be a little bit of their defense,” he said. “I guess they were trying to come together with a lot of different people. Their offense is a great offense. You can't say too much about that. But I think it's their defense that really didn't come together.”

On the Redskins: “They have a great team. They beat us twice. I think they have a quarterback situation that hurt them a little bit. Their defnse is pretty stout with [London] Fletcher in the middle. He keeps them going.”

And then for the Cowboys, Bradshaw took his shot when asked whether Dallas could win a Super Bowl with quarterback Tony Romo:

"You know what, man, I don't see it happening," he said. "I don't think they believe it, and they're America's team.

"It all comes in together. If the fans don't believe it, the team doesn't. They're kinda doubtful with Romo."

The Eagles, by the way, were 5-1 in the division and 3-7 against the rest of their schedule.

Lynn to Raiders

Former Eagles secondary coach Johnnie Lynn will be hired as an assistant coach with the Oakland Raiders, according to Fox Sports.

Lynn spent this past season with the Eagles and then was fired. He was with San Francisco for the previous five seasons as defensive backs coach.

I think next season the Eagles will win the division. The Giants (to their credit) got hot at just the right time. But despite the disappointment of this past Eagles season, they really are just a couple holes (LB and safety) from being legit SB contender. Get a free agent middle LB and then draft another.

Yeah, and bring in Peyton for a year, that would definitely make us
a SB contender? With Vick , like McNabb before him, we will always be
SB pretenders. Neither can get it done at crunch time???

guess what happens when you hire an o-line coach to be DC? you get a crappy defense. and, of course, he's brought back for another year. a joke.

Bradshaw's head coach can win with his guys, and he could win with ours.

snakeplisskeen, you're a smart man (or woman)! Why can't out coaches figure this stuff out. One would think this is obvious.

I don't know about that. Don't get me wrong, the defense obviously had its problems, but they were a work in progress. It took them a few games to figure out that certain zone coverages didn't work in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. It took them half a season to figure out how to stop the run with the wide-9. But the defense did start coming together toward the end of the season. Watch the last game against those NY Giants. I'm willing to give the Castillo/Bowles/Washburn defense another year to see how it shakes out.

I don't believe that Romo can win with that secondary either...

Bradshaw we already know the Eagles suck. Get some pointers from Westbrook on how to properly take a knee while going into the endzone.

To all the who keep bring up P. Manning PLEASE STOP its ridiculous to even think about. The guy has seen his better days behind him just like McNabb, Brett Farve his decline began a couple of years ago. As much as most of you yahoo's complain about the O-line can you imagine the first hit he take will probably be his last.

I'm getting a little tired of the Payton talk, too. However, I will say he would make a great back-up for when Vick gets injured and he might help Vick to make those great reads with Mudd's o-line, that Manning is famous for.

Unfortunately, Manning is going to be asking WAY too much to come in here as a back-up.

The Eagles will win nothing with Andy Reid-period! Nothing else matters! It is time for Reid to hit the trail-actually long past time. Then the winning will begin.
