Gaither signs tender

Linebacker Omar Gaither became the latest Eagles restricted free agent to sign his tender, thus agreeing to a one-year contract today.

Gaither was tendered at his orginial fifth-round draft level and will earn $1.176 million in base salary next season. Cornerback Ellis Hobbs and linebacker Chris Gocong signed their tenders yesterday. Linebacker Akeem Jordan signed his last week.

Guards Nick Cole (second round) and Max Jean-Gilles (fourth round) and punter Sav Rocca (right of first refusal) have yet to sign their tenders. They have until April 15 to sign.

Gocong has been the subject of trade rumors involving the Browns. The Eagles have had no comment. Gocong did not return a message yesterday.
