The denial is mostly in the front office where Roseman has assembled a genuinely untalented defense. The Eagles have 5 special teamers starting on that side of the ball, and a slow learner DC.
The philosophy of taking undersized players, who also can't tackle, but are "quick" has finally caught up with them.
The Eagles need to move to a "mark to market" approach, whereby they evaluate their talent not by internal numbers, but what the league thinks of them as a whole.— banned- Roseman is an errand boy for Reid. He makes all of the personell decisions. — djgq42

- Untalented? There's loads of talent on this team, including on defense. The defense wasn't built intelligently though. The defensive system (where I can detect one) isn't working. Also, what were they thinking starting the season with Casey Matthews at MLB? None of the linebackers or safeties are starting-caliber players. I've lost all hope that the Eagles can address their defensive problems via the draft - at least with this front office.— p-diddy

- Roseman is an errand boy for Joe Banner. Given the moves made over the last three years, it looks like a fantasy football geek assembled this team. Remember what Jeffrie Lurie and Banner said when they bought the team-they were fantasy football geeks.
If Lurie was truthful in saying he wanted to bring championships, he must do the following:
He has to tell Joe Banner that he has no involvement in personnel or anything other than the business aspects of the Eagles.
urie has to hire a strong GM and put him in charge of everything.
