Eagles are one of the NFL's top earners, according to Forbes

According to Forbes, the Eagles are well within the top ten of the league, but last place among their NFC East brethren.

Major League Baseball is worth $744 million – two entire Naval battleships – but such numbers and amounts of ships are puny compared to those of the NFL, which routinely blasts all major sports leagues out of the water.

The NFL is sitting on a $1.17 billion annual income, and Forbes recently broke it down into a team-by-team basis to see which franchise is pulling in the most cash.

  1. Cowboys - $2.3 billion

  2. Patriots - $1.8 billion

  3. Redskins - $1.7 billion

  4. Giants - $1.55 billion

  5. Texans - $1.45 billion

  6. Jets - $1.38 billion

  7. Eagles - $1.31 billion

  8. Bears - $1.25 billion

  9. Ravens - $1.23 billion

  10. 49ers - $1.22 billion

As you can see, the Eagles are well within the top ten of the league, but last place among their NFC East brethren.

Forbes also did us the favor of listing the top-earning and most overpaid players, lists that include no Eagles, two Cowboys, and the Buccaneers' punter.

The most underpaid players list was topped by James "Get That Camera Out of my Face" Harrison. It also did not contain any Eagles, proving that whatever Chip Kelly is planning, he's paying a perfectly reasonable amount for it.
