Forbes says Vick is America's Most Disliked Athlete

Stop us if you've heard something like this before ... Michael Vick has been named "America's Most Disliked Athlete" by Forbes.

The polling conducted by Neilsen and partner E-Poll Market Research says 60 percent described Vick as an athlete they "dislike," "dislike somewhat" or "dislike a lot."

It is certainly not the first time that Vick has found himself on a list like this.

Vick just edged out Tiger Woods in the polling. Woods also hit at 60 percent but he had fewer respondents say "dislike a lot," giving Vick the dubious crown.

Forbes says Vick, "continues to struggle with casual NFL fans who know him mainly for his dog fighting legal mess, even as close followers of the sport love him."

Vick also has a high awareness number -- at 42 percent -- which Forbes says indicates he is known outside of the world of the NFL to a larger audience.

Among the others on the list behind Vick and Woods, Plaxico Burress, Ndamukong Suh, Kris Humphries and Kurt Busch.

First of all, you use the word "prolly" and you refer to yourself as being "smart?" LOL.

Second, I live in South Philly but I find Eagles fans to be goons and to be rather revolting. Your team has never won anything, how would that make you a smart fan? You don't even know what it's like to win. Besides, who cares what athletes say, I wouldn't exactly consider them to be credible sources of anything intelligent.

I am a huge Flyers fan. I find the majority of the Flyers fanbase to by a far cry from the goon fanbase of the Eagles. Eagles fans know a lot about their team but not so much about the game itself. They also think that because they know their team well that fans around the league must too. LOL. Nobody cares outside of this cesspool.

I don't get why Mike Vick gets so much grief. Yeah, he committed a crime, a horrible one at that too. But seriously, is he the worst person currently living in the US? Or people no longer read the papers and fixiate themselves onto pro-sports? Off the top of my head I can name 3 D-bags that are 1000 times worst than vick. 1. Timothy McVeigh, Berny Maddoff, Rush Limbaugh and the biggest of them all Bush. I'm not gonna lie, I get frustrated with Vick's unorthodox style of play. From quarter to quarter,I'm either screaming for his release at the TV or I am Wowed beyond belief. It's allright, it's all about entertainment at the end of the day. People leave this guy alone. He killed a fews dogs but he paid for it and DEARLY. Americans slaughter pigs and cows at 100 per second in any given year. Hypocrisy much?

According to AIDs activists like Bono, George W. Bush did more to wipe out AIDs than just about anyone. He also took heroic actions against the massive amounts of human trafficking and slavery that exist today. Rush Limbaugh is a radio commentator. Vick tortured, drowned, electrocuted, and strangled dogs with his own hands according to his public testimony and plea.

I have admiration for the guy...he committed a crime, was tried, convicted, sentenced and served his time. Since that point, he has changed his ways and did not file bankruptcy to avoid his debts. he has went from rags...to riches...to rags...to riches. Those who are hating on Michael Vick really should re-direct their hate towards the system. Based on the current system, he is a model in redemption.

You have admiration for a convicted felon and sociopath? Sad. Vick DID file for bankruptcy and probably still owes people money. And how do you know he changed? Because the liar says he did? Sucker.

@ej610: Too many of you sad, mentally opressed lemmings out there who refuse to get over it. A survey from Forbes Magazine, which most likely the majority of respondents were caucasian, holds no merit. If you want to hate anyone, hate the republicans for screwing up the country. Corbett is a tool!

The Eagles have a solid history of practicing forgiveness and rehabilitation- for the betterment of ALL.

Childfund.org is at the frontline in saving the lives of MILLIONS of stricken and impoverished children- please redirect your Forbes subscription money to a truly vital cause.

No solid history of winning, though. Unless you count playoff appearances that end in losses short of the Super Bowl.

Stop, you're breaking Reid's heart. He has a fetish for black running quarterbacks that. He looks and sees gold. We look and see manure. Andy you need glasses.

Let's all hope Vick has a bad year so he Reid and Castillo will be gone at the end of the year. And we get a coach who has a personality like tom coughlins who lights a fire under his players.

Bring a PR nightmare onto your team and he can't even play.
