For Eagles, a total disaster

POSTED: Sunday, November 27, 2011, 7:30 PM

This day will be remembered as a complete and total disaster for the Eagles. There is no other way to view it.

It was a day when DeSean Jackson dropped three passes, two of them in the end zone, one more timid than the next. It was a day when the crowd twice chanted two words that they have not chanted before, not in almost 13 years: “Fire Andy.”

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady toyed with the Eagles’ defensive backs when he wasn’t carving them up into bite-sized pieces. Safety Nate Allen has never been worse. And on the other side of the ball, the Eagles came out firing, gained a 10-0 lead, and then completely forgot about LeSean McCoy, the running back who was leading the NFL in rushing yards as the day began.

The result was a 38-20 win for the Patriots that leaves the Eagles with a 4-7 record and no realistic hope of making the playoffs. They are left with two choices, one more of a fantasy than the other: that enough teams would collapse down the stretch, or that the Eagles would somehow find a way to win the rest of their games.

There isn’t a lot else to say. Playing without starting quarterback Michael Vick (ribs), starting wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) and starting cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (knee), except in certain packages, it wasn’t the ideal lineup to be going up against a team with the firepower that the Patriots can display. But the Eagles wilted.

It isn’t as if New England receiver Wes Welker is some secret weapon, but he was open all day. As for Brady, the Eagles had to hit him to win the game, and they did hit him a couple of times early, but Brady began to get ready of the ball quickly, and in rhythm, and the pass rush had no chance.

On the other side of the ball, quarterback Vince Young threw for the most meaningless 400 yards in the history of the league. Even with that, nobody could hold on to the ball. Jackson’s drops were the most egregious, but they were only a part of a team-wide inability to hang on to the ball. There might have been a half-dozen dropped passes overall. And Jackson spent the last few series of the game on the bench, for whatever reason.

Meanwhile, all of this continues to fall on the head coach. The chanting of “Fire Andy” was a new wrinkle added to a terrible year. Now that the playoffs are beyond improbable, the question of whether or not this team completely implodes -- and what that might mean for Reid -- will dominate the final five weeks of the season.

With all of that, there was no chanting at the end of the game. Then again, there were almost no people left in the stands at the end of the game.

I love to read the observations of the Philly fans.I'm not even an Eagles fan,but I am a fan of you people. You all tell it the way you see it,and I enjoy the accuracy of your comments. Some of you already said what I was thinking:FOOTBALL IQ!Reid was supportive of giving FAT MONEY to several players that have no football IQ,and,to go along with that, those same players have HORRIBLE CHARACTER.Put those two together and what kind of leadership skills are you left with?Is it unknown to Reid that the QB position is all about leadership? So,he brings a starter in who not only KILLS helpless animals, but ENJOYED IT?The other QB walked off the field, threw his pads in the bleachers, and thumbed his nose at his Titans teammates,Titan fans(people just like you, working folks),and most of all his bosses who wrote him his fat checks. These two guys here,Eagle fans, were brought into leadership roles by Mr.Reid, yes?Character has went out the window with this group, long ago.Ditto for honor, leadership, and as someone said..FOOTBALL IQ.Your team is doomed for a long time, and JUST a coaching change isn't gonna fix it.ALL of the cancer must go,ALL OF IT!That kind of action,my dear Philadelphia friends,is the only way to do it.Ask Green Bay,New England,San Francisco,Baltimore,or Pittsburgh...if you don't believe it.

You guys are making this way to complicated. Andy just needs "to do a better job" at "doing a better job" just like he says every week. very simple!!

@ charlie grone MV7 is not a circus act. Your racist mentality is showing. The Eagles have had this problem before he came. Even Donavan wanted Andy to run the ball. Vick has put numbers on the board. Andy's hand picked defensive coordinator let teams march back down the field and score.

John Steele karma does not win games, players play and coaches coach. Vick DID NOT PLAY, but Andy did coach. Andy needs to put the players in position. The Eagles have a lot of talent, now they need a coach who knows how to draft talented players and that coach would be Jeff Fischer, Jeff Fischer.

This is typical Big Red/Banner/Lurie arrogance finally catching up with them. They have consistently shown that they think they are smarter than everyone else but have nothing to show for it. They are zeros but think they are heroes. Name the last team to win a Super Bowl without a single notable LB. Name the last time a WC offense coach won a Super Bowl (and don't say Gruden, that was all Dungy's D; I mean, Brad Johnson was at the helm). The game has passed Red by and he is incapable or too arrogant to adjust. The biggest problem is that when Red waddles off in the sunset, whoever comes in next will need at least 2 years to rebuild a flawed roster and get talent at key positions where there is none now. I don't know about Cowher, but if you bring in a coach like him, who wants a stout D and wants to run the ball, this defense and O Line will need to be rebuilt. And that won't happen in 1 offseason. Red should have been fired years ago, so the organization could have closed the book on his chapter and got out ahead of the inevitable rebuilding process that a new head coach would require. But Banner and Lurie, in some type of delusion, actually thought Red could be a SB winning head coach, when the rest of us saw the writing on the wall a long time ago. Hit Lurie in his pockets. For this holiday season, don’t buy any Eagles gear. Maybe then they will listen and get rid of the “Fat One.” Kind of like an “Occupy the Linc,” but without actually occupying it. Leave it empty. Got to send some kind of message.

We should have more "fire Marty" comments, too. Ok, they came out throwing, surprised the Pats. Good job. Then you go to McCoy. Oops. Forgot about him. He's only leading the league in rushing. How stupid is this? Plus, once again we see the coaches unable to adjust. The Pats adjusted to the aerial attack very quickly, even with a beat up secondary. The Eagles counter-adjustment? Ooops. There weren't any. McCoy stood and watched. The Eagles on D similarly came out with good pressure, and were hurting the Pats. The Pats adjusted to that too. They went to quick drops, hurry ups, etc. The Eagles counter-adjustment--zip, zero, none. Of course, it's hard to play d when you have 5 positions on the field, with Allen at less than full strength, that have modest talent and little experience. Add injuries, and there wasn't much left past the d-line. Of course, that's been largely the case all year. Good job, Howie. Good job, Joe. Good job, Andy.

Who most epitomizes this Eagles team? I vote for DeSean Jackson. Plenty of talent--but stupid, arrogant and soft, an undersized egomaniac always letting his ego get in the way of the team. It's all about DeSean all the time. And it is not just his contract year. When hasn't he been like that? Ultimately, players like this have a certain rot to their core. From what DGunn said after, none of his teammates are defending any more either, if spoken to in private. They've had enough. Who hasn't? It would be a shame to let a talent like this go for zip. I'd say, sign in if you can. Trade him as fast as possible. He is unfortunately a symbol of what's wrong with this team.

You can say desean is soft all you want, and today he did looked scared trying to catch many of those balls. But whether u think he is worth top 5 money or not, you can agree he is underpaid. Now, knowing this, is the dude gonna lay out and put his head and body on the line when he is an injury or concussion away from losing all of the money he stands to make? I don't blame him for anything he does. If we get rid of him, you will watch how pathetic this team is. He is a game changer. No one talked about the terribly under thrown ball to desean he would have taken to the house and instead settled for a catch and stumble as I dove forward. No one talks about how he is adjusting to a new qb with an awkward delivery and different rotation than he is used to. We are all looking for a scapegoat, I get it. But look no further than that coaching staff. Andy, Marty, and Juan all stink. Jim Washburn was right to yell at Marty. Lesean got like 12 carries. After the first drive the offense did nothing. Marty was fired as a head coach for a reason. He wasn't good enough. He still isn't. Juan wasnt scooped up by anyone else for a d coordinator because he isn't a good one. For all the great disciples jj had, it's unreal we end up with Juan. This team has talent, it just doesn't have anyone who can use it. It's like giving a Ferrari to someone who can't drive stick. It's been 13 years of poor play calling, poor clock management, poor personnel use and evaluation, poor timeout usage, and poor coaching. The eagles are not smarter than the rest of the nfl, and Jeffrey needs to realize this and move on. Bring someone in who is rational, motivational, disciplined, and who comes up big in big spots. Because I'm sick of being teased by a talented team that always comes up small.

there are any Reid suppoerters left, like Mr. askyourself, tell them to get real. What has McNabb done since he was traded, other than ride a bench? Reid had a strong run while the rest of the division was weak. His record against teams with better than .500 records is terrible. His record against AFC teams is worse. Enough of this "remember what the Eagles were like before Reid" nonsense. What, no other man could coach this team? If Reid retired at the end of the season, they should just sell the team and move it because no other coach would win here? What nonsense. A Cowher or Gruden would take what's here and do quite well. Cowher left Pittsburgh after winning a SB and Timlin won another in two years. Bilick left Baltimore and Harbaugh has his team in first place almost every year. Reid is no football god, even if he believes he invented the game. He can be replaced in an instant. Any rookie coach would know not to hire an O-line coach as D coordinator, to begin with. A rookie coach would not abandon the league's top rusher to throw the ball 50 times. Redi stinks.

Much as I want to see Andy gracefully exit, stage left, I hate seeing this out of our Eagles. What kind of defense is that? What pathetic attempts at open field tackling. Why is Nate Allen even in the lineup, he's the second coming of Izell Jenkins, whenever you see a guy chasing a play, or getting juked out of his shoes, it's 29. But really, none of those DB's can tackle at all. the LB's are below mediocre or just too inexperiences, I don't know enough to know. The defensive line is worth keeping, but the rest of it is so Charmin, squeezably soft.
But, I still believe that Big Redface will be back next year. Coach for Life, or at least for the 16 months.

The sad thing is that I knew this season was a train wreck in the making coming out of preseason. So much was wrong with this team starting with the horrible draft choices over the years, the beyond pathetic coaching/play calling of FA and Mini-Me. The hiring of JC as D Coordinator, the lack of any real linebackers and safety's, not given Jackson a new contract and two rookie kickers. All of it, all of it has come back to bite us in the a_s! It just makes me sick. Been a season ticket holder for 31 years and this 2011 team (players and coaches)is a train wreck, and the season has been a complete Cluster F@#*!!!!

This loss today was as much as a surprise as the sun coming up tomorrow. Did anyone really think they would beat the Patriots? They couldn't beat those guys when they were actually good. This team is very talented in some places and completely lacking talent in many others. It's time to move on from Reid and see if someone else can build around the players they do have and turn this thing around. That's really the only answer. Whether Lurie accepts that is another story. Oh, and Jackson needs to go. Never in my all my years of watching football have I seen a guy more blatantly cringing away from contact. His new nickname should be T'Rex.

Question. Do you want to give DRC back to the Cardinals for Kolb? Young will be gone next year. And because of his size and the way he plays, Vick is not going to ever finish a full 16 game season. Skelton looks as if he may keep the starting job in AriZona(don't know why they traded for Kolb anyhow). So the Birds are going to have go back to square one and groom a QB. Not a big Kolb fan, but at this point, have to start somewhere after they get rid of Juan and OVERHAUL the whole defense. Personally, it was a treat to watch Brady. Thats how your supposed to play the QB position. And they didn't cheat.

Are you serious? Against teams that aren't coached by Juan Castillo, Skelton has been horrendous. He was benched mid-game last week with a passer rating of 10.5 and he was de-emphasized this week and pumped it up to 30. He has thrown 5 INTs vs. 18 completions in his last two games. Kolb isn't doing great this year, but Skelton makes Kolb look like Sammy Baugh, so there is no way the Eagles could get him back.

The fans have quit on the Eagles. How many critical second and third downs were fans sitting on the backsides? i'm an Eagles fan, but i go to just as many Pats games living up in New England, and - maybe season ticket holders at the Linc can learn - their fans stand the whole game, and they cheer and support their team whenever they can. I love the Eagles, but Eagles fans really are just at their own level. and that's not a complement. The birds may be in need in some major changes, but fans may be part of that too.

Please, try to keep it real. The New England fans, "stand the whole game, and they cheer and support their team whenever they can." because they have something to cheer about. The Patriots have become one of the most successful teams in NFL history. They are currently tied for second with 6 appearances in a Super Bowl. The Patriots are a team that hasn't had a losing season in years and on top of that, they have won THREE (3) Super Bowls.

"Between 2001–2010, the Patriots set a record for most wins in a decade (126, different from conventionally bounded decades, 2000–2009, 1990–1999, etc; this record references any 10 year stretch; 2nd is the 1984–1993 San Francisco 49ers, with 120 wins). Between 2001 and 2005, the Patriots became the second team in NFL history (after the Dallas Cowboys) to win three Super Bowls in four years (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX), and the eighth (and as of the present time, the last team to date) to win consecutive Super Bowls. Under Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, the Patriots have compiled the longest winning streak consisting of regular season and playoff games IN NFL HISTORY, a 21-game streak from October 2003–October 2004." (Wikipedia.com)

The Eagles, in contrast, are POORLY coached and to date, have won ZERO, ZIP, NADA Super Bowls and there appears to be NONE on the horizon at this juncture. There is absolutely no, I repeat, NO comparison between the Eagles and the Patriots. That, sir, was a really, really bad analogy. Things are so bad with this this team that Moronweig and Washburn had a sideline shouting match over the play calling. It is so over for Andy Reid. His house of cards is all falling apart. This mess is a result of compromising stated core principles by bringing in character flawed players. Lurie, do your job or you will fall too.

Not only should Andy Reid be the first one in line at the Philadelphia Unemployment office on Jan.3,2012, his entire coaching staff should be right behind him. And YerGone Jackson needs to start packing his and his entire posse's bags too. Go drop balls for some other team.

Several years ago, when the Eagles suffered through a year with lots of injuries but were otherwise in the middle of a run of successful seasons, Reid could get a pass for an off year. Now, however, after coming up short for so many years, it's clear that he can't get them to the next level. They need an entirely new coaching staff.

You can't throw the ball 50 times with QBs who only complete 50% of their passes. Yet that is what Andy and Marty did. Its amazing, every horrible, one-sided loss this team abandoned the run early (even when they jumped to a 10-0 lead). These idiots make the same stupid decisions time and time again.

Look at Denver - they have a QB who isn't accurate. 75% of their plays are running plays and they are winning. It isn't pretty - but at least they know what they have and try to make it work. Meanwhile, our best player (McCoy) only gets 10 rushes while Young drops back 47 times to throw it.

It is pretty obvious that Reid and the front office figured that this season belonged to a well established team that did not change much over the shortened off-season (like GB). That is why they decided to make so many bold moves once the agreement was signed and football operations started back up. The Eagles' defense has no answer for a complete multi-dimensional offense right now, but they should be much better next season. That said, the rift between the Birds and their fans could get pretty ugly before this season is over.

Jackson is as yellow bellied as the owner. Boycott the Eagles until Lurie sells the team. Maybe we will get lucky and find an owner with some guts. This regime is so bad that it makes one want to be a Giants fan. Yes, it's that bad.

No, Hiding Behind My Keyboard...the only stupid post here is by Adam Odekirk and his ridiculos article about why the Eagle fans were out of line by calling for Reid's firing. Too much time has gone by over the years with Reid's questionable play calling, clock management, roster moves and draft day blunders. And all of it culminates today with the worst played game possible when they all knew what was at stake. Clueless and Pathetic is right! Everyone in the organization must take responsibility for the hiring/ singing on of Castillo as a defensive coordinator. I agree with Joe Smith too..Jeff Lurie needs to be responsible and blow this thing up now...hire some knowledgable football people. Banner and Roseman need to go. The only color here is RED! Red being the Eagles seeing in anger and The Big Red as he's shown out the door....trying not to let the door...or a swift kick...hit his big RED back side!!!

This team has quit on Andy. At the first sign of difficulty they curl up in the fetal position. There is way too much talent on this team for this nightmare of a season. Why wasn't Vick franchised instead of the $100 million contract? Why hire a new DL coach, then demand that the new DC run the wide 9. Then give the job to the ex-OL coach? 13 years and still the poor game management decisions. Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Here’s what I find amusing about most of you so called Eagles “fans” a year or two ago you were willing to throw the season away to rebuild, well guess what, you got your rebuild. Yeah going into this season we had high expectations for this team but reality is you can’t take a brand new defensive scheme and a new offensive line scheme both with new and rookie players, no practice and put them in the line of fire expecting immediate success.
I’m not big on Reid but I do believe if they were allowed mini camps and regular practice time before starting the season you might have seen the kind of performance from this team we wanted to see. I look at this as preparation for next season; this is the down year, a step back for that big leap forward. Fire Reid, don’t fire Reid, I leave that to the FO but whoever they bring in (if they do fire him) better be able to pull a “Harbaugh” and fit in with this team or you will see an even worse season next year. Be careful what you ask for bandwagoneers, because as you have experienced this season, you just might get it. GO EAGLES 2012!!!!!

Was anyone really thinking that the eagles were going to win? The Eagles aren't nearly the team they were years ago when they lost by a fieldgoal. The eagles have needed quality wide receivers since TO and they have not filled in those gaps. DeSean would be a #3 or #4 on any other team. Then they have corners that can't stop anyone.

Why is this a disaster? This is what the WIP lemmings want. Really lousy regular seasons so we can win the Super Bowl. Well? This is the really lousy year. Next year we win the Super Bowl. The only problem is no one expected the Linc to be a house of horrors. The disconnect between the fans and the team is apparent in the home field advantage. This is rich, the gold standard is the no standard. This lousy team and the lousy team colors are what we thought they are.

This is what happens to a team that constantly makes bad personnel decisions. First and most important is the delusion that lineackers are not really important. Second, the eagles have had very little help from their drafts. I acknowledge that Shady McCoy, Maclin, and even Jackson are good players. However, what abpout the other draft picks? Third, having the top runner in the league only get 4 carries is criminal. Fourth, who in their right mind hires a defensive coordinator with no experience coaching defense other than at a high school level? Finally, very few coaches can be the defacto general manager. Both jobs require someone full time and when Andy keeps on taking the responsibility for the turnovers, the inordinate number of key penalties, and the inability to contain the other team's attack, he is right. It is his responsibility. They are his coached players and he is the one who chose them. He also is the one who hired the coaches and approved the game plan. Meanwhile, it has been 51 years since this so-called gold standard of a franchise has won the NFL title.

They gave up, they quit, and worst of all..they didn't want to win this game!!! That falls on the coaching staff, they were outplayed in every aspect of the game today. Andy and Juan has to go, right now i would be happy if they get rid of Juan tonight!!!

Karma baby! The Eagles made a deal with the devil when they picked up sociopath Vick, then compounded it when they gave him $100 million. Then they shot off their mouths about being a dream team without winning anything. On a day on which Tim Tebow won his 5th game, maybe Eagles fans and ownership should consider that sometimes doing the right thing is rewarded. And hiring a murderous, unrepentant sociopath is punished.

This is what this ownership needed to see. The NIGHT and DAY difference between a solid coach vs. a average coach. Stay with Reid any longer and that is exactly what you will get....averageness. Up one week down the next. Lose to bad teams. Get out coached ....get out adjusted during the half .....all adds up to what we've had for the past 13 years ....above avg. but not even close to winning it ALL. Good bye Reid. Let the boycots begin....do not go to anymore home games. Make a statement fans.

This game showed the vivid contrast between a barely above average coach (Reid) and a really GREAT coach (Bellichick). The superlative, great, has been used for FAR too long by overly enthused fans who couldn't see the forest for the trees, when, in reality, Reid was NEVER great. Just better than what comprised the NFC East at the time the Eagles were leading that conference. Meanwhile, the NFC East has gotten moderately better due to better drafting, coaching, game-planning, players selected to execute those plays. This meant the same schemes, low-grade drafting and trading away prime draft positions in exchange for more lower round picks, poor position coach selections by Reid, etc, etc, etc, have doomed this team for years to come and will require someone like a Gruden to extricate them from the depths of NFC East he!!.

Job # 1 is to figure out where we go from here. Forget the b.s. about this year, find out who you can keep over the next 5 games. How many times can you watch the coach justify 10 rushes for the #1 running back in the league. I've never seen a team look so lost on the defensive side of the ball...Oh great! Vince Young thinks he played just fine!!! I was always a Reid fan but can no longer rationalize any reason he should stay. There exists an unwillingness to change when change is just what is needed most. His mistakes have flat out cost this team a season and my greatest fear is it could take a couple more years to straighten it out...damn.

If Michael Vick had played, all the talk would be about the bad defense, not 400 meaningless yards. Andy needs to go. His experiments have failed. Castillo has completely failed in developing a cohesive defense. Vick has been an inconsistent mess when he manages to stay on the field and not paying Jackson is going to end up with him walking and the Eagles getting nothing in return (not that he's worth big money, but it's a shame to let him walk). It's obvious that there are no leaders on this team and there's not much heart. I wish I could have seen this season with an expericenced defensive coordinator.

Why wouldn't you copy the AFC teams who have had success against them - blitz Brady and jam Welker. Please don't waste the rest of the season, play the back ups and see if there's anything in the cupboard.

F Harry Stowe....Andy Reid. That boneheaded decision to move Castillo to defense, not running the ball more, in games where they have an equally distributed run/pass game, they have won. It is time for Andy to go. We thank him for his service, but it is time to go. We have a hell of a football team, now we need someone to coach them to a Super Bowl win, and that will never be Andy.

The result of years of ignoring the defense, playing soft on defense with soft players....ignoring the importance of having GOOD linebackers...a flag football offensive scheme....a coach who has been aboard for too long to the point where it must feel like a birthright to him....we ALL knew the appointment of Castillo was going to be bad and the ultimate downfall of this coach, but this has become laughable and ridiculous! A team full of weenies! Why can't we get a legit QTBK like Rodgers, Brees or Brady? We get stuck with these athletes with zero football IQs and an occasional good game. They can't read or understand coverage or adjust to events throughout a game...plus they possess no leadership qualities. Nate Allen needs to go and where was Asante...did he even play....non-existent! Brady destroyed our secondary. Please get rid of DeSean in the off-season...he is not a top 5 receiver...the farthest thing from it. Hope Reid enjoys his after game burger.

that was a PATHETICALLY COACHED GAME. TERRIBLE. They came out and scored 10 points off of the first 15 scripted plays which you have the entire week to come up with. But after that, when it becomes a football game and you have to make tough decisions in a matter of seconds, he got outcoached by belichek 38-7. 31 POINTS. 31 POINTS. HE IS NOT A GOOD COACH. HE IS NOT A GOOD MOTIVATOR. Hes good at coming up with pass plays, tahts it. Hes not good at drafting. Hes not good at at calling timeouts, challenges, NOTHING ELSE AT ALL. AFTER THE 15 SCRIPTIED PLAYS, NOTHING. THAT DOES NOT WIN SUEPRBOWLS. getting a deep pass on the first drive will NOT WIN YOU A FOOTBALL GAME WHEN YOU THEN CALL 10 CARRIES TO YOUR LEAGUE LEADING RUNNING BACK. COMPLETE STUPIDITY. Any team that anoints itself the "dream" team and plays as they have the last 11 games demonstrates how far from reality this organization is. Nice game DeSean! How many drops today? You're a good example of why this team is unable to win. You think yourself to be a super star, but when crunch time comes you don't perform.

If Lurie can't fire Andy Reid and the rest of this pathetic coaching staff, he should sell the Eagles to Donald Trump or someone else who can.

I think you have to let Andreas Nodle get healthy then bring him in and let him play safety for the eagles

You could see it in the second series, when they had three dropped balls and had to settle for three points. If djax doesnt want to go over the middle, then that should be a part of his next contract, wherever that self-aggrandizing quitter plays.

DJax made more plays than the long-snapper, but he didn't earn as much today. He's one of the lowest paid guys on the team so expectations should be adjusted accordingly and he would be a fool to lay out for passes at the risk of losing millions of dollars.

Wow, Vince Young is soft. Only Julian Edelman standing at the 5 yard line between VY and the endzone, and Young gets STUFFED. My dad was yelling the whole time at how soft Vince played, this guy is a joke.

Pathetic. desean traded for miracle 6 th round draft pick. Andy remains. Vck may go to 2 on the depth chart. Its going to be an interesting next couple of weeks.

Andy Reid is once again taking "responsibility" for the loss.

Doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Doesn't that make it better for you?

    Me neither.

After 13 years, you have to look in the mirror and admit, you just don't know how to get over the hump.

Actually Rich you've got it all wrong. For those of us (which is most of us) who are tired of the same old broken record for the past 13 years this is what we need to get rid of Andy. His schemes are just not going to win a super bowl. I hate to say it but this is exactly what we need-so it was a success. Hopefully the fat man will sing at the end of the season and we can move on with a new coach. The time is yours........

As a lifelong Eagles fan, I have seen my share of bad play. But the fact they have quit is inexcusable. Andy Reid has provided great sucess in his tenure, but he has to go

This team is terrible. Can we please get a quality QTBK in the offseason. Vick and Young are both pathetic....just athletes....zero football IQ. Why can't we ever get a Brady, Brees or Rodgers type QTBK? We get stuck with these guys that can only run and every now and then put together a decent passing game. DeSean is worthless...he def is not a Top 5 receiver. Please get rid of Nate Allen too...he is a bumb. Where was Asante today...did he even play? Brady shredded our secondary. I could go on and on.....just all around pathetic.

Eagles looked good in the 1st. Then Belichick adjusted. The Eagles coaches (cough, JC) was unable too. Easy win for NE....

this is a deliciously bad team.
"the most meaningless 400 yards in the history of the league."

    couldn't have said it better.
    pre-season champs pack it in.
just another year of futility here in loserville.

The thing is, you idiot goons think that the Beagles are a contender every year. Face it, they are mediocre. Heck, even the Cards are better. When the Beagles lose the fans whine and bellyache and act like they know everything about football when they don't know diddly. when the Beagles win, the fans gloat. This is poetic justice for the lowest common denominator fans in the league. P....A....T....S.......PATS!

Just admit that you know nothing about football, quit your sissy bellyaching and shut up.

And a new GM with a football background might help. Enough with the Good Ole Boy Network Jeff Lurie. Time to start being an owner Jeffrey and not a friend and an buddy.

Loosen up some of that control. Send Joe Banner back to the administrative offices, give Howie a job in the accounting office and go hire a FOOTBALL GM.

    Hire Ron Jaworski NOW!
