The Eagles continue to ease tight end Cornelius Ingram into the offense. (Yong Kim / Staff Photographer)

Here are six players with something to gain tonight against the Bengals.

As always, I'll be live chatting during the game so be sure to join me.

Chad Hall, WR - He had a 22-yard carry and a 57-yard catch in the first game against the Jaguars. Hall was also the Eagles' primary return man, returning three kickoffs and two punts. Expect to see him get a lot of looks once again. Considering Mike Bell is questionable and LeSean McCoy suffered a quad contusion during the week, don't be surprised if Hall gets a few more touches at halfback. We even saw him practice there with the first team on a couple occasions at Lehigh.

Kelley Washington, WR - He is fighting for a roster spot and came very close to blocking a punt against Jacksonville. In my eyes, Washington is competing directly with Hank Baskett. The Eagles know what they have in Baskett. That's why he's not on this list. But Washington could gain ground with a good performance - both on offense and on special teams.

Mike McGlynn, C - Nick Cole will miss his second straight preseason game, and it's unclear how severe his knee injury is, or when he'll return. That means the door is wide open for McGlynn. He had no problem with the snap against Jacksonville. Pay special attention to how he performs as a blocker in the run game.

Moise Fokou, LB/DE - As I pointed out yesterday, Fokou's role could affect the Eagles' other roster decisions. Are the Eagles just experimenting with him at defensive end, or do they really think he can help them there?

Cornelius Ingram, TE - The Eagles continue to ease him in, which makes me think they're not convinced he can help this team in 2010. Ingram saw very limited action against Jacksonville and sat out a practice during the week. It's been a long road back. Last Friday was Ingram's first game action since the 2008 Capital One Bowl. It'd be great to see him make a catch tonight.

Macho Harris, CB - He hasn't played cornerback in a game since his college days with Virginia Tech. Last year's starting free safety changed positions in the offseason but didn't play against Jacksonville because of an injury. He'll likely see action with the second team. Oh, and hopefully he's still sporting the tremendous afro he had at Lehigh.

Chad Hall HAS to make the team, if for nothing else but fielding returns. Jackson is too valuable to be used in this role and Hall seems to be a play-maker. I don't care how tall Hall is, good things happen when he's on the field. That is the ultimate measuring stick.

Chad Hall - the exception that proves the rule

I wonder if Ingram's two consecutive ACL surgeries have left him permanently impaired, or if he just needs more time to recover his skills. It's clear that Harbor is the backup TE; the question is whether the Eagles will cut ties with Ingram altogether, or try to sign him to the practice squad. The Baskett/Washington match up is intriguing (well, relatively). Washington was a special teams ace in New England, but had the best receiving year of his career in 2009. Baskett, who is three years younger than Washington, managed just four receptions last year with Peyton Manning as quarterback. And I don't think marginal players should have wives who make sex videos. So I give the spot to Washington. And yes, I hope the Eagles find a spot for Hall. Might make up for wasting a draft pick on Jeremy Bloom.

Harris hasn't made a big play as a pro; it'd be nice to see one tonight.

Hall is this year's Reno Mahe, who had sure hands but as likely to break one for a TD as Andy Reid. I wonder what opposing coach would rather see Hall returing punts instead of Jackson?

looking like my sleeper pick on the offense, (Ingram), isn't going to pan out this year. still think the Eagles should find a way to keep him on the roster. from all accounts, this latest knee surgery doctors performed on Cornelius was a complete success...thinkin' the Eagles should stick w/ the kid to see if one day he can indeed fulfill his huge potential.

Hall could break one unlike Mahe who only had sure hands and nothing else to offer. Hall much quicker and better at finding space.

Jackson is the best punt returner in the NFL and averaged 15 yards a punt last year. I want hall to make the team but as the kick returner. Keep jackson as the punt returner becuase the man is a beast.
