Eagles' Fletcher Cox named to PFW/PFWA All-Rookie Team
Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox has received his first honor as a professional as he was named to the 2012 Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team Thursday.
Cox is one of twelve first-round draft picks to make the team this season.
The tackle out of Mississippi State was a bright spot on an otherwise porous defense from the Eagles this season that finished 29th in the league in points allowed per game at 27.8.
He finished his first season with 32 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, four passes defended and a forced fumble.
Other notable selections to the team were Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, Buccaneers running back Doug Martin, Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon, Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly and Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner.
