Eagles sign DE to replace Te'o-Nesheim

The Eagles signed defensive end Maurice Fountain to their practice squad to replace Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, who Tampa Bay signed to their 53-man roster.

The 29-year-old Fountain was last seen at Seahawks' training camp, but was cut before the season. A journeyman, Fountain (6-foot-4, 270 pounds) has played in the Arena League and the UFL. He spent time with the Dolphins during their 2008 camp and later with Seattle in 2010 on their practice squad.

Te'o-Nesheim was drafted by the Eagles in the third round of the 2010 draft. He played in six games as a rookie and recorded one sack. The defensive end was cut before the season, but the Eagles signed him to their practice squad where he stayed all season until the Buccaneers picked him up.

How below average is Andy Reid....Te'o was taken at 86 in the 2010 draft and Navorro Bowman was taken at 91 by the 49ers. Oh please let this be his last year in Philly!

That tells you all you need to know about the quality of Tampa's pass rush. Of course, with Haynesworth commanding all those double teams, maybe Te'0 will blossom with the Bucs.
