Eagles have 2nd interview with Chris Polian

Chris Polian recently interviewed with the Eagles a second time for their personnel executive opening, an NFL source said.

The Jaguars director of pro personnel was one of the first candidates to meet with Eagles coach Chip Kelly and is the only known aspirant to have a second interview. The Eagles were prepared to meet with the Brian Gaine for a second interview, but the Texans promoted him to director of player personnel and he opted to stay in Houston.

Polian is the son of long-time NFL executive Bill Polian and served as the Colts general manager under his father from 2009-11. Chris Polian oversaw the Colts' 2011 draft. The Polians were fired after Indianapolis -- without injured quarterback Peyton Manning all season -- finished with an NFL-worst 2-14 record.

The 42-year-old Polian has spent the last two years working in the Jaguars organization. He spent the 2012 season with the Falcons as an executive scout.

Aside from Polian and Gaine, there haven't been any other reported interviews. The Eagles haven't been commenting during the "GM" search.
