The Eagles cut nine players Friday, none of them surprises.
Cut were: cornerback Jamar Wall, wide receiver Rod Harper, defensive end Chris Wilson, linebacker Rashad Jeanty, center A.Q. Shipley, tight end Cornelius Ingram, fullback Stanley Havili (a seventh round pick in April), guard Dallas Reynolds and running back Graig Cooper.
The roster now stands at 71. The Eagles have to get down to 53 by 6 p.m. Saturday.
They still have big decisions to make on the offensive line, defensive line and cornerback, where there are the most intense roster battles.
Shipley, on the Eagles practice squad last year, wrote on Twitter, "Its been real philly! On to a new journey! Thanks for all the support Eagle fans!"
The others were always long shots to make the roster. Havili never really challenged last year's starter, Owen Schmitt, for the job.
Harper, Wall, Ingram and Reynolds each spent time on the Eagles practice squad last year.
