One interesting note regarding the schedule from ESPN.com Pat Yasinskas, who covers the NFC South:

When the Eagles came to Atlanta last year, the Falcons were banged up with injuries and Philadelphia made it a point to showcase Michael Vick against his former team. The Atlanta brass was too classy to publicly complain about it. But there were plenty of people within the organization who were furious with Philadelphia coach Andy Reid. They’ll get a chance to pay him back Oct. 17 when they go to Philadelphia.

With the 24th pick and the Eagles are still there, Kareem Jackson would be a good pick.

I'm a little surprised Iupati falls this far, but I think this is a decent mock. As with all mocks, there are two things that render it almost pointless. First, you have no idea who Oakland will pick. Seconds, trades eventually blow up all mocks. Although I can understand the Earl Thomas love, the fact is he's an undersized safety, and he might have to go to corner. You really don't know how good a corner he is. The Alabama kid has played some top flight competitiona and is a pretty tough dude who is supposed to be NFL ready. If you pick him, you can always get a S in the 2nd round, like the S from S. Florida, but the top shelf corners will be gone.

Not an expert, but I agree w/ Domo. I would go w/ CB's Wilson or Jackson over a S with the first pick, (unless of course they can somehow someway get Berry). In this defense, the Corners are imperative to the scheme that is implemented, more so than a S. Like dpcoz posted, the Eagles most likely will have a shot to get a legit S in the 2nd round.

Cleveland's ben in deny, deny, deny mode about Clausen. If the first 6 picks hold according to Domo & the Browns go QB, and the Raiders go Raiders....all of a sudden.... Is trading up for Berry a possibility? Probably not

I think they can grab Pouncey in the 1st, get one of the Safties in early 2nd and then trade up to get a DE/CB if one starts to slide in mid-to-late 2nd. There are twelve CB's ranked to go in the top three rounds, and some of them are what we are looking for, physical guy to play opposite ballhawk. Only 1 Center can cure the offensive's biggest need of interior OL...

There is not a chance in the world that Thomas drops to the Eagles. Also, if he did, the Eagles would do cart wheels and grab him quick.

ej610 -- I agree 100%, get rid of Samuel. Only problem is no one will take his salary since they know he can't tackle my daughter. His head first dive about 5 feet away from the Oakland TE who ran for a TD was the worst (and funniest) attempt at a tackle I've EVER seen in watching 38 years of NFL.

if they can get Kareem Jackson in the 1st and the Nate Allen in the 2nd it's a win...and then a pass rusher / OLB (maybe Carlos Dunlap for DE or Brandon Spikes from Florida as a SAM) with the second 2nd round pick, it would be a win

If Earl Thomas is there, they'll draft him before taking the CB

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but if Earl Thomas is available at 24, the Eagles should draft him.
